Hmm. I'm no expert in coding, so this might be beyond me. Sorry I couldn't help much, though I could suggest reinstalling the game, making a back up of some files beforehand.

Don't know, i tried it with various death mods and i have that issue. Even tried verifying integrity of the files. Weird

Huh, I never had that problem. When I played with a death sound replacer that made the game play that one Midnight Riders song, all I heard was the song, all combat music stopped.

Thanks. Do you know why the vanilla combat music keeps playing even after you die (mixing with the death sound)? I tried many death sound mods and it's the same. Maybe project zomboid doesn't like the death sound being replaced.
