The original intention of this mod was to use the beam blocks, but that was ditched in favor of a non-dlc block, and blocks that were stronger.

You can still use the beam blocks, per the discussion here; https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/3029470356/4142816719803935498/

Is it possible for this effect to be applied to the Beam blocks from the Heavy industry DLC? I feel like it would make lots of sense. Maybe it has a similar effect to the blast door block reinforcements, but it's slightly weaker, since the block itself has the strength of only a light armor block.
fireflash1596 5. aug. kl. 9:18
Honestly, id love a mod that is just the X-ray part.
Bad Decisions 1. juni kl. 11:04
just here to say that this works with AQD combat rebalance Core ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180804144&searchtext=aqd+core )
Final977  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. kl. 18:31
Yes.
Eternal Serenity 30. apr. kl. 15:09
is this compatible with vanilla+?
Final977  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. kl. 18:43
Yes.
Fatma Alshamy 10. apr. kl. 5:55
Is this compatable with weaponcore ?

Armor Panels aren't treated the same as Armor Blocks in vanilla space engineers. I don't know if it would be impossible to support them, but for the moment no.

Pro-tip, armor panels are the same kind of block as more complex items like conveyors and so having lots of them in the world can slow it down.
Sir Digby Chicken Caesar 29. mar. kl. 4:03
Could you also add support for Armor Panels? At least in xray they don't show up as supported.
PallyDanaRama 22. mar. kl. 13:08
Hmm, for me /sr help just shows "/sr xray" which toggles xray on and off entirely, and "/sr keybind" which lets you change the keybind for the xray toggle. I couldn't find a way to actually change the functionality of the xray. It's fine.. the mod is still amazing. I was just hoping to find a way to implement the xray to see inside my ship without adding colors to blocks (in addition to that functionality)
Final977  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. kl. 12:28
@Pally, there should be already support for blast door sections (or a similar mod) but you can add those blocks by editing the config file in the save's storage location. This will let you add any block you like as a support provider, with the same rules as the other blast door blocks. Check out the thread by Gate in the dicussions.

You can also configure the x-ray through in game commands that you can list by using '/sr help'
PallyDanaRama 20. mar. kl. 23:53
2. Could this also work with the mod 'Blast Door Sections'? That mod does add blocks, and I generally like to avoid building the basic structure of a ship with modded blocks, but I'm really intrigued by having more control over the shape of blast door sections. It's still fairly balanced because the integrity for those blocks isn't increased even when they take up more space. In fact, many of them have less integrity than the standard blast doors per volume.
PallyDanaRama 20. mar. kl. 23:53
I'm having a blast with this mod. Not only does it make my builds tankier, but it keeps them 100% vanilla. No new blocks, so anyone can use my ship without downloading anything. Plus, thinking about where to put beams has been quite a lot of fun. I.. should probably get out more. Anyway, I just have two questions.

1. Would it be possible to have a second key that only initiates the x-ray vision without highlighting reinforcement levels? Being able to see inside my ship is incredibly useful, but the green and yellow blocks hamper that a bit. I still want to be able to see reinforcement levels, but I often use it to look under the hood for other blocks
PallyDanaRama 16. mar. kl. 15:36
This is amazing, and I can't believe I've played this long without it. Between this, build info, and build vision, crafting ships is easier than ever.
PallyDanaRama 16. mar. kl. 15:09
I absolutely love this idea, and can't wait to play with it. Even with 2 layers of heavy armor almost everywhere, I've always felt like my (all) ships are paper-thin. I've had large heavy armor blocks get destroyed by single-weapon ai drones flying ~20m/s, and that just seems wrong to me. I almost always play with shields, but I miss the idea of heavily armored ships.
Final977  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. kl. 9:39
In theory, should work.
Final977  [ophavsmand] 8. jan. kl. 18:33
It might? Can you give me an example mod that does?
Psi 8. jan. kl. 14:26
cool mod, wish there was more stuff like this in workshop!
btw, does it work with custom GeneralDamageMultiplier(aka resistance) applied by other mod?
ogrimdooh 4. sep. 2024 kl. 9:01
Hey man!! Love your mod!!
Just want to know if there is a way to let the "xray" enabled and didn't show the highlight?
Some times I just want to look behind the armor and if there is a blast door around the highlight blocks the view hahaha xD
Hoofie 12. maj 2024 kl. 21:27
After being somewhat annoyed by how squishy and paper-like heavy armour was with WC weapons, I ended up feeling forced to use shields in order to avoid having my 2x heavy armour walls penetrated from one shot from some of the 3x3 gridsize WC weapons. Even the Heavier Armor mod didnt do all that much to help with that, which left me using over-powered (in the literal sense, gigawatts!) shields.

But after getting this mod + a slight steel plate integrity buff I feel like I've found a sweetspot where the guns still feel impactful without negating all the effort you've put into building well armoured ships. Without blast door reinforcement the blocks will still get shredded under fire, so it actually makes sense to use it.

Now to play around with DynamicArmor so I can finetune it properly

Good stuff my dude.
kinngrimm 8. maj 2024 kl. 5:41
just you know besides the CDR Aurora's Blast Door's Pack i have found one other mod sofar that is explicitly compatible with yours.
Elsephire's Block Optimizer (Alpha 1.4 Fixed)
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2330481547

A few other armor creators wanted to look into compatibility.
maybe you could put a small section into your mod discription for mods that are (made) compatible? 2 sofar as far i am aware of, but hopefully others still would catch on :)
Grebanton1234 4. maj 2024 kl. 15:45
Hi, wanted to ask if I'm allowed to make an unlisted reupload of the mod in order to make it compatible with other armors for a scenario I'm making?
Darkaiser 22. apr. 2024 kl. 7:04
I have tried this mod and I love it! It makes me think about how to make designs more durable and is a big help when using any of the 'drones attack' mods.
Final977  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2024 kl. 18:38
That message should only display when players are connecting to the server. Are you running AiEnabled?
IceManRyder 18. apr. 2024 kl. 10:52
I get strange messages that are repeated every second in the server console for one player the sequence is like: Structural Reinf: Client requested settings, SR Server: Player connected, Server: Sent settings to player and that constantly repeated
Final977  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2024 kl. 9:28
Not as far as we've seen - a lot of grids in the world would cause their own lag, this wouldn't add to that if the grids are just 'existing'.
xXShadowNinjaXx 23. mar. 2024 kl. 20:06
Does this mod cause a lot of lag with a lot of grids in a world?
Final977  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2024 kl. 18:21
@ShadowNinja - the keybind is not set server side
@rkirk - if you desire that functionality, check out the discussion section BD made it so you can add beam blocks to the list of blocks that provide reinforcement via a config file
xXShadowNinjaXx 28. feb. 2024 kl. 7:34
Does the keybind command make the keybind universal for all players? or is there some way I can force override? I'm asking because I'm probably gonna be putting this on my server and I would like to rebind it automatically so people don't get annoyed.
rkirk395 28. feb. 2024 kl. 0:39
I would suggest adding the same functionality to the Steel Beam blocks and it's variants, so that players have options for which structural reinforcement block they use.
Gate 3. feb. 2024 kl. 0:49
@Final977

i would love the ability to have either a seperate hotkey for _just_ the x-ray mode without the reinforcement overlay. or a hotkey to toggle the overlay while xray is active.
Ruby Rose 2. feb. 2024 kl. 20:14
due to mod compatibility I was just thinking it would be great to have the xray vision as it is currently, as a entirely different steam workshop mod, its a blessing for building
Final977  [ophavsmand] 2. feb. 2024 kl. 19:26
The x-ray feature as designed was to show what blocks are being supported. There are commands to toggle it on and off.

If it were a completely separate feature, It would be somewhat different, so some context on what you want from such a mod would be helpful.
Ruby Rose 1. feb. 2024 kl. 23:45
is it at all possible to make the xray feature a seperate part from this mod?
kinngrimm 30. jan. 2024 kl. 21:54
great news :)
Final977  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2024 kl. 21:49
@Kinngrimm - BD just pushed an update that adds support for CDR Aurora's Blast Door's Pack

@Tiberius - This same update adds a config file that lets users/server admins add other blocks that provide support so if you want to add beams, have a look at the discussions section on how to do that.
ARAURA 28. jan. 2024 kl. 12:26
Mod Author here, what would it take to add compatibility to/for https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2369221906 ?
kinngrimm 27. jan. 2024 kl. 14:51
gotcha thx for your time
Final977  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2024 kl. 14:38
@kinngrimm - Vanilla armour is supported for sure. Modded armours may or may not be, it depends on how that mod was made. As we've said before; AQD concrete does work, we've heard that composite armour from industrial overhaul does not work, and we know that POM XL don't work either.

On our paradiso server, we used DynamicArmor to buff the XL blocks instead, as they aren't covered by structural reinforcement at the moment.
kinngrimm 27. jan. 2024 kl. 9:44
"@Kinngrimm- only armor is affected."
sorry didn't come to test it yet, but i had still one question
Is only vanilla armor affected or also modded armor sets(light and heavy)?
Like i have armour slabs mods and "huge" armor blocks installed to cover larger areas while keeping low CPU load.
thif47 21. jan. 2024 kl. 11:35
I hope the beam blocks will also be added to this, I already naturally use them for ''reinforcement'' and making it provide a bonus would be awesome.
Final977  [ophavsmand] 19. jan. 2024 kl. 17:13
Kinngrimm - Additional blast door block mods are currently not supported.

TrueWhiteKnight - POM XL blocks are currently not compatible, due to a technicality they do not work the same way as regular armour. Similar problem to the composite armour from industrial overhaul.

Folks looking to upgrade those, and who are somewhat technically savvy, should look at DynamicArmor and configure their own bonuses for now. https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3107050431
kinngrimm 19. jan. 2024 kl. 12:04
would this work or would please add compatibility for "blast doors pack" mod
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2369221906
Final977  [ophavsmand] 18. jan. 2024 kl. 20:59
Space Ace - Some of those armours will be reinforced, like concrete, but we've seen reports that the composite armor will not be.

Mikals - You might have a mod conflict if the x-ray isn't working, or the grids you're looking at aren't considered owned by you if do not have a block like a battery or a control seat on it.
MikaWashere? 18. jan. 2024 kl. 12:19
Xray doesnt work no matter what I do, soooooooo i feel like this is false advertising
MikaWashere? 18. jan. 2024 kl. 12:07
I wonder if i can take advantage of this and make a kinetic missile that can withstand impacting an ship at high velocity long enough to put huge holes in a ship.
Space Ace 18. jan. 2024 kl. 7:05
does the reinforcement modify the strength of modded blocks as well? I'm using this modpack https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3138611210 and it has Industrial overhaul which has composite armor and concrete and such. would the reinforcement affect those modded armor blocks?
TrueWhiteKnight 17. jan. 2024 kl. 22:40
do you think you could add support for the POM XL blocks?
