I freakin' love the concept of this mod. Hope my mechanitor colony doesn't get their mechanoids' guts splayed across the stars.

Well after talking through the baby issue with a friend, I had a moment of realization that I've been testing this wrong this whole time like a giant idiot. I should be able to figure out a fix this weekend for both issues now. Thanks for bringing the issue up so that I reevaluated the problem!

Thank you for quick response. Childbirth thing is consistent as far as I can tell, I had 2 or 3 births and all the time it was 2 blessings.

@Amateur - I'll take a look at your first issue this weekend and if it's a bug, I'll fix it. I have some ideas on what could be an issue.

For the childbirth issue... was it a one-time thing or is it happening consistently? I've had this happen in my game, but when I'd reload after adding in debugging, I couldn't reproduce it. It's been frustrating me for a while. Clearly it's using the ritual framework, but I can't figure out why sometimes it slips past my guards and sometimes it doesn't.

I disabled some wrathes and blessings and now I rarely get any after ritual (usual or conversion ones), no matter the outcome. Is it intended or bug?
I also got double blessing after healthy child birth all the time (3 times already). Also intended?
The wrath level is set to indifferent.

Wolfy - it needs Biotech because I didn't scope any of the code to account for DLCs. Now that I'm better at making mods I could probably go back and do that when I have some time...

i have noticed the divine buffs are considered curable via healer mech serum and the creeps unnatural healing. is there any chance that can be changed? psychic healing appears in the same Red "whole body" category and similarly has a cool down but is not curable so perhaps it has a property you could use

Yeah thats cool man, no pressure. Theres already 1 or 2 sacrifice ritual mods out there, so it might be easier to add a patch compat with that instead?

I do like that idea quite a bit... maybe a ritual mod that compliments this one? I can think of a few ideas that would merit their own mod. Unfortunately I'm about to be crazy busy, so I probably won't have time to do anything new until like... closer to the winter holidays.

Hey man, love your mod! Is there any way you can add a precept where the gods demand a certain ritual (eg human sacrifice or resource sacrifice) to appease them, and if it goes too long without the ritual being done it triggers a wrath event? Id love to play an aztec type 'we need to sacrifice prisoners so the sun doesnt go out', type of colony

Well, I caved. The thought of angry warrior highmates finally won me over. The "violence disabled" gene is now removed for them.

I've got some more feedback for you:

-Would it be possible to change up the Zeus blessing so that the highmates that get created don't have the 'no violence' gene (perhaps only on wrathful like the winged hussars blessing)? Had a couple of colonies that were knee-capped because the best soldiers became highmates.

-Idea for a new blessing, one that provides a random assortment of tamed animals. Different wrath levels could change what you get based on animal body sizes or their role (farm/combat).

Thank you for making this mod, I'm starting to like the rising anxiety I get when a ritual is about to finish lol.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I've had terrible luck and keep getting wraths in my normal colony, so I haven't actually had the Blessing of Plenty outside of my test colony.

I put a wealth cap in on the Plenty and Bacchus blessings. It looks okay in my test colony, but let me know if you wind up drowning in raids. Since there's a wealth cap, I added luciferium back in and modded drugs are possible again. Also put in a stack cap for items to avoid the modded stack count... I'm starting to realize my game isn't nearly as heavily modded as I thought it was.

And I removed fertilized eggs. Sorry about that.

The blessing of plenty did give me a whole lot of plenty.

Among that plenty was a bunch of fertilised eggs. Including chicken eggs among a bunch of random modded animal eggs. The chicks alone brought my framerate to its knees.

I am afraid of what might happen if I cannot dispose of the rest of them before they hatch, there's at least 300 mammoth worms from the Black Hive at least

In regards to the amount of drugs Tarerin got from his blessings, I'm going to guess it's from a stack size mod since the blessings spawn max-sized stacks for any items they give. At least from my own testing that appears to be the case.
Limiting how many items are spawned based on % of wealth or specific number (instead of stacks) per pawn involved in the ritual should help reduce the wealth blowout these blessings can give.

@Tarerin good point about the modded drugs. I don't tend to play with mods that add extra drugs so that didn't happen in my game. It originally filtered out luci to avoid blowing up colony wealth, but I've updated it to restrict it to just the original core drugs. That should filter out things like what happened to you.

But do you have any mods that affect birth? I'm not sure what's going on there with the childbirth just yet. The mod bails out if the ritual is missing certain parts so while childbirth IS a ritual behind the scenes, it shouldn't be triggering, and I am not seeing that happen in my games. But if you've got any suspicious mods I can add those and try it out again.

Fun concept, but also OH GOD WHY, and that's my reaction to a blessing.
It's probably a mod mismatch or something, I hope, but a succesfull birth (Biotech) gave me two blessings. Mastery and Bacchus, and I am now a proud owner of 8k beer, 4k of Ambition of the Cosmic drugs, 2k of Glitterworld Ushanka drugs, and 2k of Mechanical Humanoids drugs.
Now, all of that will be useful, if my poor tribals don't die immediatelly from a big raid, but why 16k of everything?
I'm on neutral, this amount is way too much. I feel like that meme with the guy with too many limes now.

Sliders don't have to be all-or-nothing. If some things are just what they be, then there could still be the option to just disable them if it's too much for a given player's tastes.

@Officer zzguy - it'll resurrect dead enemies too. And they will still be hostile.

The blessings are a bit of a mixed bag, tbh. I'm going to do a better writeup tomorrow and move it into a discussion post since I'm running into character limits on the mod page.

So if resurrection is a blessing, does it also resurrect dead enemies who then fight you? Or are they set to a neutral faction / flee?

@Smiley Face Killer - thanks for the log! Bestowing is fixed now, and I tested it against the tree linking rituals while I was at it. I think everything that comes into the patch has a guard clause now.

I can't finish the bestowing for the Empire. I've done the bestowing like 4 times now but it just doesn't finish it and completes the quest. In the error log only your mod is mentioned, by name at least

@Helixyos - thanks for the log! It's fixed now. Turns out that the vat child birth is a ritual behind the scenes, but was missing a lot of the data I was making decisions off of. It will now just skip all my code. I'm not going to rain fire from the heavens whenever a kid pops out of a growth vat, that's just mean.
