for the specifics and rules regarding Darth's work. Much <3 Darth and thx for all the mods :)
(edit i misread the controll panel actually accumulators are the ones that were still working normally it was another type of battery that broke)
You might want to take a look at this, keens latest update messed up power distribution and pretty much broke all batteries except the accumulators. I caught this while noticing that they were not discharging like some batteries perhaps you can figure out why they are immune to this bug ?

for mother ships and colony stations?
and with the acculumulator must be 240 power cells ... for a storage MWatts 46.80
logic should be 46 times more than standard battery ??
I wanted to make a suggestion. How about an assembler that makes only small ship parts, Something like the ECOIN mod. I keep hoping someday someone will come up with one.
Keep up the great work.
up ressources coast please

lovin most of your stuff
@KamSolastor that is for Keen to fix by adding changeable power priorities between reactors solar and batteries.
i am thinking of an implementation where
if battery is charging
{
if powergrid usage >= 90% available power{Switch to Discharge}
}
else if battery is discharging
{
if percentage of powergrid in use - power provided by self + power drawn by self in recharge mode <= 75% of total power generated {Switch To Recharge}
}
They look nicer, they hold more energy, and small one is more compact that regular smal ship battery. And they look nicer.
unless they do something different than normal batteries than there is truly no justificatin for the slow recharge times. even the normal batteries should have multiple recharge modes based on the power grid and not some arbitrary value on the battery it'sself.
an example would be modern electric cars. they can charge on a standard 120 volt current in several hours or you can plug it into a higher amp 220 line and recharge the whole thing in less than 20 minutes. the only limit to the recharge speed of pretty much any storage device is the rate at which you can dissipate waste heat from the reaction.
The big one's design fits beautifully on the side of a large reactor, and the little prongs at the top meet beautifully. I build them like this: O--O (with O being a large reactor, and - being a big accumulator).
And to all the naysayers who can't be patient enough to let it charge up, you're totally missing the point of an accumulator. It's a backup power source to store excess over prolonged use, and provide that power when needed. It is NOT a battery replacement, and is NOT meant to charge up quickly! If you want fast recharging, build a bank of batteries, dummy.
Darth Biomech, stay firm and tell these impatient children to stuff it. The accumulator is perfect just the way it is... (except maybe add the ability to change the casing's color, when you get around to it).
