This is one of my favourite mods with a chill and relaxing play through with a good narrative. A compatibility patch with 5.0 would be great.

Unfortunately I don't think this mod is compatible with 5.0. After disabling all my othrer submods I determined that this is the one that causes a CTD when loading.

Absolute tragedy, this is one of my favorite OWB submods and I was in the middle of a Battlegrounds campaign reuniting the rest of Louisiana when the update dropped.

Love this Mod, but there's a bug with OWB battlegrounds. So I wanna fight the ghouls in New Orleans but when loading with this mod the city and surrounding area is gone.

Man I just wanted to say, I already loved your TF2 stuff, but dang, can you also right a story! I loved this, and the part about sully III kicked me in the heart. great, great stuff.

At least in recent builds, Texas is strong, but they don't use their strength effectively and it's fairly easy to make armies that can at least hold against them. I'd recommend making an army of lawkeepers with a few demolitions units mixed into the divisions--and remember anti-tank to counter their PA. From there, just choose a good doctrine and you should be set. Thanks for playing. :)

This mod is really fun but it feels impossible to beat the texan brotherhood because they and their faction are so much stronger

It works for me, though there are a few minor errors that haven't been updated since the DLC dropped. Do you have any other submods enabled?

The story left me waiting for some of the corrupt patrolmen under him to take a shot at him. It was interesting to see the softly-softly approach be allowed to work.

The Texan Brotherhood demanding your stuff is an (unfortunate) inherent part of the design, since they still need to be the major regional power. However, we're working on a minor update to patch some stuff that should be done in a few days, and one of the changes will be to make it so if the Texan Brotherhood declares on you then you get to skip the early conquest stuff and proceed immediately towards your truce focus with them if you want it. Should be a big help in making sure players and AI alike get to sign on with the Brotherhood rather than fighting them, even if they're not good at the game. Of course, this will be balanced by them turning down the truce if you're going Black Hat path, but for the main path it'll be good enough. Thanks for playing!

Did you update your submod at any point over the last few days? That bug was deliberately addressed shortly after release, and it shouldn't be an issue right now.

Brotherhood No More appears to assume that you have an alliance with the Brotherhood when there's an even chance that they've stopped existing.

Looks like an interresting mod that could evolve into something even better once the next big update adds mississipi territories to the game. I think it need a little bit of polish in a few places, but the only big problem I noticed is that due to their capital being on an island and the weekly manpower thingy, Cannery can chew out new divisions faster than you can kill them and it becomes impossible to conquer them without tanks, planes or power armor. Adding a second strait from Cannery to the eastern portion of their territory could fix that issue.

Well. The Desperadoes have begun pushing back the entire Texas Economic Union (minus Austin). So maybe I'll be able to fight them afterall.

I just always assumed the state borders were wonky on purpose to recognize the new spheres of influence after 200 years of people moving about and political shifts.

Yeah, the map’s a bit weird. The city of Shreveport itself is a major city in Louisiana, but it’s right on the border and the way the states are handled in OWB means Shreveport and a fair chunk of Texas are included in the same states. Map changes mean incompatibility with other submods, so I figured when writing for LaO it’d be easiest to assume Shreveport was now considered Texas simply because it grants a strategic bit of river access that Texas would plausibly want. Maybe once Louisiana gets proper content that could cause conflicts between a Louisiana nation and the Texan Brotherhood, but for now, Texas is the regional hegemon power and what they want usually gets done.

Weird how its considered part of Texas when the air and naval maps list it as part of Western Louisiana, but thank you

The Patrolmen aren’t supposed to take the Desperados, and even if you do, taking the focus after your war goal on them will give the territory back to Texas, as the majority of the Desperados’ territory is historic Texan clay. However, even if Texas takes it, you can still get the rewards from having it if Texas is in a faction with you, and the focus that gives you sophisticated vehicle tech also gives a hidden event a couple weeks afterwards to make it worth your while.
