with the mod i refer to klone krisis, not the dropbox content

k i kinda lied before, just because didn't wanted to bother anymore, but i already did the folder and placed the mod inside the folder, which are on the game folder too, but i keep getting the same sprites, do i need to reinstall the mod or extract the files from the zip folder?

Gamboangel, you'll need to make sure you've gone to the dropbox linked in the YouTube trailer and downloaded the mod that includes the assets, and then you create a folder titled "mods" in C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami2 and drop it in there.

surely did something wrong or didn't did something for the mod to work but idk tho

idk if i didn't did something necessary to the mod but i dont have the gameplays like on the screenshots of the mod, i get different sprites for the characters and even of the levels that i dont think they belong there, on the intro of "ohh shiny" instead of manny i see jacket with a pole on that massage bed same with evan, its just jacket standing

Apparently there was just a button I could press to unsuspend the link? It should work now as long as the site wasn't LYING to me. Try it out and let me know if it works.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on but I got a message from Dropbox saying that my link got temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic... I really have no idea what to do for this but I'm looking into it. I tried migrating all the assets and stuff to MEGA but the download and upload times were awful and it would have taken 16 or so hours to upload the assets. I'll let you know if I can find a fix or something. At the very least, it should be back up relatively soon when the Dropbox decides to play nice.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bro this got to be the best campaign I've ever played, everything about it is so good to the level design, the humor, the sprites... I was not expecting any of this thinking it was another mediocre ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod but I legit got several hearty laughs out of this. I was looking for copper and found an entire factory of diamond... I'm literally speechless

Hey everyone. Figured it out. Steam alters the way that the dropbox link works because it refers you through their own "do you want to go to this site?" page before taking you to the dropbox. The easiest workaround was to put the link in the description of the trailer video on youtube, as that has no interference. Remember to open the video in incognito if you don't want it influencing your video recommendations. Thanks again for the patience, and hopefully this fixes the issue for good.

No. It's actually a sound effect of someone pouring water into a Tupperware container. I thought it'd be too gross to use real pee audio, even if it's indistinguishable.

Yes, a sequel is planned. If you're aware of 1-900-CULT, that's going to be getting its own standalone editor after release. I'm planning on making the sequel with that, as I feel I've done most of what I can with this level editor.

Make a folder in Documents/MyGames/HotlineMiami2 called "mods" all lowercase. The folder should be right next to the "Levels" folder. Just drag the patchwad in there and it'll work!

what do I do with the patchwad?

Just go into the folders "Asset Mod" and "Soundtrack Mod" and individually download the two files. The first is KloneKrisis.patchwad, and the second is called hlm2_music_desktop.wad

If you download both of those (not the folders, the individual files), they'll come unzipped and ready for you use.
