So you should make thumbnail before uploading and other screenshots after uploading

In theory you can put every image. But it's better to put screenshots of thing what you want to upload.

also for non thumbnail images it's easier
When you upload something you have page with it. On that page on right side you have owner's pannel. There you have some options like changing description, add images etc.
click "add/edit images and video"
there you can add your images (but it's size have to be smaller than 2MB. Usually steam screenshots fits in this requirment)

If yes you have to replace image of dupe in local files of gmod you can go to them by using steam then you need to go to correct file:
garrysmod --> dupes.
When you there in this file I reccomend to sort them by date of creation.
When you replace image restart gmod and then you can upload with custom thumbnail
Also very important is that new image have to have same name.

unrelated to the dupe itself (which looks REALLY cool btw, idk how you do it) but im having trouble finding out how to put images onto a dupe. you could say to look on discussions, i have, didn't find anything to do with my problem.
