Also, the normal map is lacking an alpha channel, which is why the gun's so shiny (since the phong mask is just a pure white blank image)
If you don't feel like making an alpha channel though you could just add "$basemapluminancephongmask 1" to the VMT, so the base texture is used as a phong mask (it's what the L4D1 and CSS weapons use for their VMTs too)

Very awesome recreation of the rangemaster for l4d2 wooden shotgun! only complaint I have is that the weapon seems a tad bit too shiny, so if it could be toned down then this will be perfect.

Yeah, I used the original texture from l4d which in itself was quite low quality, I do plan on remaking this with a more high quality texture someday.

I like the result but it's a bit blurry but still likeable retexture.
