ce now has sliders in its main menu setings that allow u to set dmg fall of and total dmg of explosions. not completly the same but no dmg fall off explosives are pretty good i can tell you

If you want barotrauma info watch "underwater explosion" videos. The water just visualizes the shockwaves that also happen in the air. Specificially i remember a view videos testing grenade explosions effect on a human body in water. It found that even without the shrapnel the barotrauma from the blast is enough to kill a person. In the air the effect would be weaker and over a wider area due to air being lighter than water but the same general pricniples apply

balance is kinda secondary and full auto explosives problem can probably be fixed with scaling based on damage

the main issue is getting credible info on how it works irl. All I could find is a small mention on wikipedia, from which I don't understand enough to come up with how it'd work in rimworld
