@dmorchard - sadly sir i do not have any knowledge on doing that, i only use what the mod has given me, I only tried basic config scripting and those are too complex for me, still a great and superb mod!

Graphicz - I would definitely like to make that work. Can you tell me more or post a relevant link to FR documentation? My retextured CSLA-IC assets are added in the DCX_IC mod, but I would make a point of repeating this tweak across all my mods eventually. It might just take a while because thorough CfgGroups are going to be a big task - I've been putting it off forever.

is there a possibility of the units that are given by the mod to be force recon template compatible? As gunline targets, as upon checking on cfggroups there are units that are unfortunately not given as a squad or platoon, like the t-72 from csla added to east germany (gm) from i think this mod, but still anyways super work dmorchard! And thanks!

I'm fairly certain I know what is causing this and will apply a fix to the DCX_VN mod (and others) in the coming weeks.

Thanks Frosted Flake. I'm already chasing the following pilot-related error, which is due to config lines in DCX_VN when DCX_GM is also present in the mod set...
"Error: File dmo_dcx_vn\_characters.hpp, line 7: '/CfgVehicles/dcx_tak_jetpilot.ID_TAK_JETPILOT': ";" encountered instead of '='"
...Same error message?

Lulu56 - I've added your suggestion to my to-do list, which is already too full to manage :) It will also hinge on Fingolfin's approval which I'll seek if/when I get around to it (I always like to get the mod creator's go-ahead before doing my thing, even though it's functionally the same as making their mod a dependency).

@dmorchard I realized that the previous work of many people is what made this game and this community wonderful. I'm trying to update the magnificent Fingolfin faction "Altis armed forces 2017", for the awesome Antitasi of Barbolani, Socrates and the people of Antistasi Ultimate. It would be good for this, to have a complete faction of Altis forces including elements from GM and SOG, such as the t55, Mi-2, SA75, ZPU4, LTA 4, etc... So here is my humble (and long) ask. I appreciate your work, it's really wonderful.

Volske - Just a heads-up that although I did just update this mod it was only to fix a simple config issue. Unmarked vehicles remains on my to-do list for now.

I too would love unmarked (at least just the emblems, the numbers are alright) GM vehicles, as we use them for antistasi and it doesn't feel right if we are using vehicles with enemy emblems

Ahhh! Well once Orbat has generated a config for you, you should be able to remove the insignia etc. via a config edit of your mod, just like I've done it in my mod. Go ahead and de-PBO mine to see how I did it for the SFIA UAZ and other vehicles - I wrote a macro named "CLEAR_GM_INSIGNIAS" which you'll find in "/_core/gm_defines.hpp".

The only reason I ask for the unmarked stuff is mainly so I could make quick factions with Alive's ORBAT faction editor, which keeps insignia, but I'm working on some ways around it.
Also, the S-75 Dvina rockets with East Germany?! Awesome!

Since those options exist, I haven't prioritized adding unmarked GM vehicles to my generic factions. Maybe I will get to it some day.

Thanks Eagle Watch! There are a number of ways to remove insignia from the original GM vehicles, depending on your use case. If you're editing a mission in Eden, the various insignia and markings are accessible within the attributes viewer. It can also be done via a custom event handler (EH code has been pinned in GM's official Discord, I believe). If you're Zuesing, in-game, you might be able to access the vehicle attributes and/or set a custom EH as well - it might require a mod that extends Zeus capabilities though - I'm not too familiar, unfortunately.

Hey, thank you for this mod. It's awesome being able to use the units in other factions. I'm not sure where else to communicate this, so I will write this here. Would I be able to make a request? I like the various west and east German vehicles, but the nation insignia makes it unable for me to use it for other factions. Is there a way to get a 'generic' version of the vehicles, without national insignia on them? Thank you again for the mod, always fun being able to use SFIA with the UAZ!

How about adding a vehicles for BWMod factions?

Everything has been ported from the old mod into the new mods. SOGPF is the only cold war cDLC with planes so far, so I assume the planes you're thinking of are the F4, F100, Mig19 & Mig21 - when I split the original DCX mod those assets migrated into the new DCX_VN mod. Note that you'll need to load both the GM cDLC (source of the factions) and SOGPF cDLC (source of the planes), plus the DCX_VN mod (source of the new skins), in order to find those planes in-game.

Rule of thumb: my DCX mods are named for the cDLC that the modded assets originate from. And to further explain my naming convention, I used VN since it is the classname prefix used by the SOGPF devs; IC = CSLA Iron Curtain; SH = Spear Head; WS = Western Sahara.

I get the confusion. I hope that helped explain :)

Hi @dmorchard. Are there plans to do plane skin vehicles under West/East. There were lots in the old mod but non in the split version.
