If it doesn't work, try running the game as an administrator. Go to the executable -> properties and check the option to always run as administrator.

Now that you mentioned it, mine really does switch to windowed mode even when I change it to fullscreen... Try adding this command at startup:
-w 1600 -h 900
Replace it with the resolution you use, if it's 1920 by 1080 it will be like this:
-w 1920 -h 1080

well i have it working but i how do i prevent it from going to windowed mode everytime i open the game? or is that just normal? or am i missing something else?
