on step one, what file should i extract and how to extract them? thanks

so the thing with the screech is that the sounds are too short. if you add a few extra seconds of silence at the end of each sound, so it ends up longer than the sound playing, you completely remove the screech without the need to rebuild audio cache. i've done it for the sound mods i made myself, works perfectly

You should put it there after you extract using GCFScape. (Make sure you have backup files)

And about that crash, I recommend you to set your graphics to low, run in window on lower resolution, and wait for few minutes after typing "snd_rebuildaudiocache" on console.

and after i rebuild the audio, the game crash

which folder u refer? the addon folder or something?

@Dimmyboris I just noticed that that, my bad.

I'd recommend you to extract it using GCFScape, put it on sound folder, and type "snd_rebuildaudiocache" in console.
