My friends and I were also thinking of inputting some newer textures for the billboards. Like putting a fresh spin on the L4D universe. Example: An animated billboard of Little Peanut greeting visitors on their way to the crescendo concert.
As for credit, at the very beginning of the campaign - We'll list the original developers and everyone included who brought the campaign to the Steam Workshop. I'm asking for permission here in case there would be future comments saying that we didn't ask.

As far as before the dude left the community when it was still L4D maps.
Was rediscovered in old media fire archives.
