@Farbott Oh yeah, that's something that irked me. I didn't really know how to make it more neutral as vanilla Rimworld's sounds do sound pretty neutral (and boring) in terms of whacking something.

with how moddable rimworld is i thought there'd just be a way to make the melee sounds determine off what they are too, but even if the mechanoids sound oddly fleshy this is awesome

@trocapalot I don't know if I'll do a quick enough fix. I'm pretty burnt out on Rimworld modding

actually, it might be very easy to do by using the loadfolders.xml to look for the mod, if succesful then revert the patches using IfModActive and another xpath patch

hello, i'm the owner of RSE and it seems your mod causes my metal deflect xpath patch to fail.
i've added it to a list for conflicts and if you manage to figure out a fix let me know so i can implement it as well.

Fantastic mod, it fixes the problem with the vanilla ultratech weapons and the lesser tech weapons. The vanilla ultratech weapons have melee sounds, the vanilla medieval weapons are silent for some weird reason. The SFX are good, fits the vibe of the game well. Noticeable without being over the top. All in all, great stuff.

Thanks! I've made sure to find sources that don't sound like they're from free audio libraries, even if they are. The thumbnail and title kind of satirize the mod itself though, haha.

damn this is good. I expected it to be over the top and corny but this is tastefully done. It sounds like vanilla with some extra oomph and realism. adding to my list
