You should look up a guide on porting SFM things to Garry's Mod. It's a lot easier to learn how to do it when a lot of the needed files are already there from the SFM model, and all you have to do is know what the differences are between SFM and Garry's Mod, and make the needed adjustments. You seem like you want this pretty badly, so you or your friend should give it another try.
back to me. Holy crap; I had no idea that when
somebody made a playermodel of a non-human
character they had to make all the animations from
scratch. No wonder nobody has said yes to my
requests yet. I literally did not even read that
response until just a few minutes ago. I had
had no idea it was there.

and make it a faceposable playermodel?
then, unless someone else says yes......I don't
know how to make playermodels. I had a friend
of mine try to do it for me and he completely
failed. It's so gosh-darn complicated. Even rigging
the stupid thing is hard if you don't know what you're
doing. Which I don't....I tried to do it and I failed as
well. Oh well, I'll just keep asking around.

if you want face posing, that model would probably work well.

on the PS2 and make it a playermodel. Also I want him to
run like he does in the game and I want him to
have faceposing for his facial expressions. He
had different facial expressions he could exhibit
in the game but the model someone else posted
to the Workshop of him didn't walk at all like Spyro
did in the game and in addition had no faceposing;
it was a stuck expression.
Hopefully that won't be too much to ask. If there
wind up being any limitations to this request (such
as, I.E., Spyro runs like he does in the game but is
not faceposable) I accept them. It doesn't have to
be perfect.
I know where is letters, but it's mod in SFM workshop
I've been asking around all over Steam
for someone to make me a playermodel
of Spyro as a young dragon from the Legends
series but nobody's responded yet. I think that
means their answer is "no".
I believe someone else uploaded the model to sfm. So yes.
