If Civ Groups tab is not visible please try clearing cache.
Changes:
- Group name max length changed from 15 to 25.
- Corrected bug which was breaking mod when modded civs were no longer enabled during mod selection
Unfortunatelly I still have no idea why sometimes CivGroups tab is not showing. Even if some error occurred during mod loading than (at least empty) tab still should be created...
Did anybody try cleaning cache? If somebody tried and it is still not showing, could you please provide Lua.log?
I had logging enabled and there was a clear error in Lua.log: C:\Users\Damsteri\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Really Advanced Setup - Civilization Groups Addon (v 1)\DataManager\GTAS_MapManager.lua:110: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value) .
I interpret that so "GameInfo.Civilizations[civType]" is nil at line 110. I encircled the line 110 with nil-check and it made groups addon to work again. All 43 normal civs and both mod civs were present in civilizations list and all of my groups were back. My fix just circumwents the real problem, you need to find why there is a nil value to really fix the bug.
I don't know yet if this is the same bug which prevents the Groups tab to show.
I'm planning also to add group renaming feature.
I'm not sure what do you mean by: "number of slots" and "number of characters for their names". Would you care to elaborate? Currently you can change max number of civs in group if that's is what you mean.
However I just wanted to give you some input on your project (and I leave it in the middle if it be usefull or not). So don't see it as if I wanted you to fix things. :)
But then I found out what was the problem.
I had too USSR active from "Days Of Sadat" and this makes that only this one appears and one of JFD and not civ 5 standard Russia.
A pity because I find the "Days Of Sadat" a very nice collection too.
Or maybe I still do some wrong. idk.
But this not take away that your mod is awsome and opens a new way to play extra civ's much more easy!
Thanx very much mscibor!
Civilization Groups (and Really Advanced Setup) are not affecting visibility of any civilization in setup screen.
Does this happen only with JFD's Russias or with any other civs as well (which one)?
Do you see all Russias in standard setup screen (not advanced setup screen)?
Which makes sence not?
Because these JFD civs are customs which disables the original civs.
As far as I understand JFD have civs which add and civs which are custom, right?
I'm not sure if I understand the issue: do you mean that when you have all JFD's Russia mods enabled then you can see only one Russia in Civilization Groups?
e.g. JFD's different Russia's which when all activated only leave 1 russia left.
Or do I miss something which enable all these russia's to make a group of them?
For the rest very nice mod!
You can always download manually this mod from forum (link to forum is provided in mods description).
Well done!
