Do these have collision with other turrets, like the Mining Laser and Heat Lance?
I think I left in some pre-meltdown code that was causing this, sorry!
New version pushed to the workshop, let me know if the issue still happens after a full unsub and resub.
Oddly enough, the logs do not display anything of note, either in regular or dev mode.
You might need to unsub/resub to force the mod to update.
Regardless... the game crashes now. As to be expected since the resource collector in the game doesn't exist anymore.
Ultimately it comes down to upkeep/maintenance/effort/time/prefferences, and making modA work with modB -- which can be harder as opposed to just doing everything in one big mega-mod
Disclaimer: I've never made a mod on Steam and don't know firsthand how much extra effort it is to make multiples instead of one.
I much prefer smaller focused self-contained mods with a direct purpose ... instead of large overhaul mods, or mods that do two+ completely different things.
So my own mods try to follow those principles too. Small, direct, focused to the part.
as this mod doesn't currently change storage values - nor do I feel a mod focused on the resource collector -should- do that, as there are plenty of mods to change storage values out there.
It's up to you, obviously, but no effort is wasted. :)
