Only black sky. SE must have been changed to show black instead of pink when there is no skybox.

do you need a add on I saw a Pink sky. that was a sky box error for me. did this work for you beacuse the skybox did not work for me.:steamfacepalm::steamsad:

@GeSoR: Post-planets update this mod has a lot less use. BUT, it still has one major use: orbital stations with no lag, as planets drop framerates like a $#@%ing rock, but this skybox won't. Assuming someone ever fixes this to work on DX11 using my assets, it makes orbital themed content possible on weaker machines and/or machines of people who desire FPS above all else.

All right, since I just can't be bothered to fix this myself, here are the resource files for all the Space Engineers mods I've worked on. Note that this includes a few older skyboxes not by me, but that were uploaded by me; I didn't bother to cull those. Hopefully with the resource files now available, someone will actually make a functioning version for DX11:

Hey man! This has been my favorite skybox for ages, but because of updates it seems like fog and light settings are out of date now. Plz fix so i can continue using it! :D

My bad Star X! It turns out that there's a known problem with speed increase mods and skyboxes at the moment, as soon as I removed the speed mod it was back to working perfectly!

Been playing again recently, and I haven't noticed that. I'll do some more testing tonight, since I'm currently experimenting with the new blueprint function tbh. I'll get back to you if it's missing ambient light during my testing.

Been hunting around for a Skybox for a while, tried loads out, and this is my favourite. It's absolutely stunning. Amazing work. :)

Updated. It's now further out of the atmosphere, which fixed some reflection issues. Also, I reenabled procedural stars in Space Engine, so it should look less barren now. Ending result looks pretty nice.

@ Spades: Yeah, sorry, was trying to go for the atmospheric look of Star Fox (SNES) when you're flying over Venom/some other planet (original had only Venom's atmosphere, but the unreleased sequel had atmospheric skyboxes for every planet). May have gone overboard. I'll correct this later by making a skybox that's not quite that low in the atmosphere.
