I only went block busters a few times growing up my family mostly rented using those red boxes that'd be outside of Walgreens or CVS's life before streaming took over was high-key peak miss those days. :steamsad:

I gotta wonder how different things would of turned out if Blockbuster brought Netflix and were able to keep both companies running.

I wish I was around with blockbuster. There used to be a video store that me and my parents went to a lot but they closed down...:steamsad:

@Malleus Draconia Just did some quick research. Blockbuster closed all of their corporate-owned stores in 2014, which left 50 remaining, presumably family-owned ones and obviously those slowly closed one by one over time. Blockbuster ceased to exist because of the rise of streaming itself, but it is true that they were offered ownership of Netflix way back in 2000 for $50 million, but they rejected it and literally laughed the offer out of the room. Makes me wonder how they would've done if they accepted the offer.

I think Blockbuster was ceased in 2014, due to the growth of Netflix. I'm not sure if I was right or not.
