With 1.5 I can dismantle ammo and the gunpowder shows up in my inventory, but when I go to craft ammo or explosives, then gunpowder is not available.

I didn't take it badly, no worries! I understand your point and disappointment with it very much but that mod with how the game was built is quite a steam engine. For example the "bad" gunpowder is already a workaround for a game limitation.. But I'll look into it further, see if I can make something more flexible. Its not impossible I think, will see! =)

I didn't mean to disrespect you or your efforts. I understand that you spend a lot of work on the mod.
My disapointment is this: ammo is an issue in EARLY game - later, when I have stacks of hundreds of bullets of each type I don't need any help from a mod. I was under the assumption that this would work something like this: 85 bullets? That takes 85x 5min (any dismanteling time for each bullet) and it will give you about half the components it took to craft those 85 bullets. Seems like simple math and very logical to me. But I have no idea how the game handles all of this.
I guess with some explanation in the description I would've seen that this was not what I was imagining.

To explain further, the notion of time in the game is per hour and so if you made 1 hour, the minimum, for 1 bullet dismantled, you would have your mercenaries stuck in days and days of dismantling ammos.. which would make it really dumb to my mind.

I am sorry that this mod displease you. You are free to uninstall it. There is a mod that does it directly in inventory that is probably more the target of your need. As this is for an "operation", something taking time, it was, to my mind, stupid to dismantle 1 ammo per 1 ammo. The result of this operation which decraft ammo per stack of 100 for most of them, is exactly the number of "base material" needed to craft 100 ammo.

This mod took me 2 weeks to make work and it is not as good as I wanted it to be, yet I decided to publish it cause I was proud to be able to make it in first place as Jagged Alliance 3 "crafting" operations are quite locked on the possibilities for addition such as this one. There is no better way to do it through an operation and I am pretty sure you can check for the mod doing the same thing but through the inventory.

This is dumb. I need a stack of 100 ammo to dismantle it? So in order to get rid of the crap 85 saltshot shotgun ammo, I need to craft 15 more? And then I get 3 (!!!) "bad" gunpowder? What a load of bs. This mod isn't even worth the time downloading it.

ah nvm. found it out myself. i was just confused because there exsist now 3 different items called gunpowder (old vanilla, new bad and new good gunpowder)

so what is the difference between the old vanilla blackpowder (10 stack) and the new blackpowder (1000 stack) can both be used to produce ammunions? at the workshop

Yes I am aware that the recipes are not balanced yet. I am fully dedicated into resolving the main bug of this mod. I figured the reason of the bug, but the fix will require some time, after which, balance change will happen.

Right now it is 1 gunpowder for 10 ammo because its the rate for shotgun ammo

Great idea, horrible dismantle rates.
With this rates when i dismantle 9mm i tripple my gunpowder ...
We already have ammo crafting recipes, dismantle should give back gunpowder (so 1 gunpowder from 30 9mm rounds) and half (rounded down) parts.

Hello Kosh and yes I am aware of the problem, it is still in the known issues and searching for solution currently as I don't know exactly where it come from in the background. I don't create new mods yet cause I want that fixed as soon as I can!

Having the same issue as Shinobi_Cat
For example, drag and drop 9mm subsonic to the deconstruct row, and then it will sometimes turn into any other ammo type from my inventory. A bit dangerous if you're not paying attention to what type it turns into on that row for deconstructing..

Aye! I know that mod as I saw it on nexus =) It can be useful and also the reason why I made crafts of rather high amount of things than small crafts

ah too bad. but just a few hrs ago some1 released a scrap ammo mod ( JA3ScrapAmmoMod ) . Maybe that's worth a look :)

I wanted to include two results to such operation as well! But crafting operation results can only be one item somehow as the result cannot be an array. I tried and it just break the craft.

Also some recipes will change, I just didn't have time just yet to do so. Most crafts are too powerful or so.

Short question: How do I modify the script to also yield some scrap? Doesn't make much sense for me to just scrap ammo for powder but throwing away perfectly fine tips and casings.
Do I just add another ResultItem = PlaceObj('.....), or how is it done properly?

Alright, the mod got reverted to the last working version as a quick fix. Sorry for the trouble. It should now work properly if you resinstall it.

yeah this is the problem, i get stuck with larry in construct explosives and i cant remove him, getting some screens but i dont know if it will help you ^^ the other construction operations tasks are greyed out

I uploaded my live version (which should be the same) but the mod editor says its newer and it works for me.. I'm making further tests, disabling everything else.

@Qyorria I can confirm I have the same bug, when I assign mercenaries to the operation they will get stuck in it and not be able to be removed or moved. Even when I move the Squad to another sector and enable "force move" they will be stuck.

I tried it with the "craft explosives" operation.

its bugged, tryed it but my explosives specialist is stucked in repair mission and i cant reasign him or abort his mission. only load a savegame will help

v There is no tool kit in this game. You might be thinking of wire cutters. And wire cutters only work on pipe bombs. You cannot use them on any other explosives.

Ok look what I found: when I dismantle, for example, flares, I drag the selected icon to the top cells, and when I hover over it, then there are no longer flares, but other ammunition. Apparently, the mod somehow randomly drags a random type of ammunition, and not the one that I took. But if I remove all ammunition from the inventory, except for those that I want to dismantle, the mod does everything right, because there is no other ammo in the inventory. Please check this moment.

When dismantling ammunition, gunpowder appears in the inventory, but the dismantled ammunition is not consumed it stil remains in the inventory.
