Also not just the FPS will be affected also the visuals if you're playing in low settings the water will be solid

(^^^) Xeno - It's nothing on today's hardware, I still get 500 fps max when unlocked fps, Otherwise 300 fps, Sure it will dip up and down, It's dx9 after all, But if people can use 4k mods on this game with no fps lost, This mod will will not eat any more fps, Simple real time lighting mod, Many out there doing the same thing, It's fine, But the choice is there

Why not just use cubemaps? Real time water eats a lot of frames

TH3VOID - Acuratly projects the reflections, The default reflections and shadows in game cut down for performance gains, Same with textures etc, I've looked side by side with this, And there are more reflections and more accurate, Better shadowing too

the tits <3 - The price of valve running the game on a potato pc to sell more copies lol, But yeah that window shadow thing seems to happen in some other reflection mods sadly.

Alright thank you, for taking some time to look into it. It's appreciated, and yeah I'm aware of the clearer water addon that everyone likes, but I just want the real time reflections that the source engine should of naturally provided in this game. (Since it's a setting in most source games).

the tits <3 - Will have a look, They all tend to have their issues a little, Thought there was only 1 that was perfect, But it was something called clearer waters, Just a transparent water one, quite nice, But not quite the same as this :

Hey, great mod. Works a lot better then the one that is from 2015 sitting in the workshop. Although, I was wondering if you were aware. In Crash Course they are these black boxes made in the doorways and windows when using this mod. They are in the holdout building, next to the army cannon. I was wondering if you can push out a fix for that. I know those black squares are for, optimization in the source engine when you are far away from something. Although they show up right in front of your face. I'm assuming some value with the water in the map that is interfering with the building that I mentioned of.

Poleeyan - Fair play, Issues will vary, Not always a fix for everyone, It is what it is i guess

Poleeyan - i would move your addons folder to desktop, uninstall the game, delete the l4d2 left over folder, Re-install the game and move the addons folder where it originally was and try again, This would mostly solve any mod issue, I've had my fair share of them, Since the TLS updates.

Poleeyan - Yeah i know, I am just fussy , But 304 mods ? Dayuum that alot of mods lol, Hope the game is stable, Since tls update having too many mods worries me

Poleeyan - I used to have 135, But i have 115 now, All vanilla looking minus characters for a true remaster look unlike that tls update lol , Everything is the same just in 4k textures / 2k / hd , Real sounds, It truely is amazing what people add to this game that valve could not, This for me is what keep this game alive, That and all these other fun mods

Shakes - I just used some pics off google at random, They ain't even the in game screen shots, I'll post in game ones to avoid confusion, This is a l4d1 mod that i tweaked for l4d2, And it does the reflections and the reflections move in your direction, And is fully compatable with clear water mod with no issues, No lag and no glitching far as i can tell. This is also realtime reflections, So it is a little more demanding but runs fine for me.
