Really awesome tool! The only question I have is there a way to spawn in trees automatically based on ground textures? Like if a ground texture is a dark green it should spawn in trees (like a forest) and if it's a brown color it should be grassland.

hamsajeanjacket1337, they work just fine for me. Make sure you enable Arma Realistic Map Assets V2 together with this map in the Mod Manager. Also, try disable all other mods!

@Bushcat I believe that there was some feature or hidden/deleted instrument allowing one to manually draw preferable move paths (roads, highways and restricted zones like walls etc). I read a thread on armaholic about signs of (something like this) existed like years ago, at the time of RHS last mods releases. People had pretty strong technical arguments there, but I myself not a modder, so idk may be just another speculations.

Long bridges are not correctly generated in current version, this is fixed in upcoming release.
Other preset are planned (mediterranean and tropical), meanwhile you can create manually them.
Some issues may come from open street map data that may need some fixes/additions. I will make a tutorial on how to improve the data and which details are useful for generator.

Arma bridges are not working in a majority of maps.
I think its to do with the path finding following the terrain elevation.
I lost count of the number of times my squad ignored a bridge and swam over the river, or a vehicle just sat on the edge of the bridge.

The tool that was used to generate this map has a lot of potential. It could make it so that map making is far more accessible to people.

In saying that, none of the maps I've generate so far have been all that great and there are a lot issues, such as 'squares' not lining up with others, roads getting cut in half, bridges not working right. BUT, if these issues can be fixed or at the very least reduced, then this could change everything.

This is pretty amazing already got the hang of it and i can see especially if the planned features are added this becoming probably the go to when it comes to arma 3 map making

@Millz Yeah, I have the same issue, I've noticed it only happens while generating maps with large bodies of water like peninsulas or harbor cities. This issue doesn't happen with ponds and lakes on other maps so it might be an issue specific to oceans/seas. If I get some free time I will try to post a github issue about this.

this is absolutely fantastic work mate, I have had some issues like pressing M in game crashing the game when it opens the map up or random squares of water but overall this is an incredibly powerful tool, well done

I'm currently playing around with your tool, it's really amazing! I've generated maps of my hometown and various nearby areas, even though as you've said the building placement isn't perfect the possibilities that this tool provides are really broad and despite slight issues the generated maps look really good in their current state. Thank you very much for creating and sharing such a cool and useful program :LoveTalia:

forgot to mention: bridges also appear to be bugged occasionally: e.g. bridge objects having major gaps instead of being connected to each other

just tested myself with a custom location; quite impressed with the results. some areas look absolutely stunning! I think for intermediate and also experienced terrain builders, this is an excellent tool to have for saving time. some areas appear quite lackluster or require some adjustment, hence why I suggest only those familiar with terrain building to fix the rough edges it produces...

one bug I've noticed is how it might interpret shallow rivers as a ditch instead of a river, and so it doesn't fill it with water. not sure if this is an already known bug, but thanks for your fantastic work, extremely easy to use tool
