I already wanted to do so, but my 'steam harddrive' has some problems lately, only beeing recognized by windows from time to time, mostly loosing connection when trying to update mods at the latest. So I decided to not use it anymore before I have a new harddrive for my steam stuff. Just to ensure it doesn't brake down before I can rescue all data I have no backup of.
plz update soon
With the new mod manager Skybox is working at you'll be able to en/disable mods without the need of (un)subscribing though.
p.s. love the music =) i will continue using your items that you put out for people love them all
also i believe im using your texture pack to which is wonderful
The mods archive file you can find in AoE\mods, just extract it to your AoE folder.
Alternativly you can use my mod manager. After steam downloadd the archive, you can install/delete it with just a few clicks (and much more).
Did you wait until the chess intro video starts to cancel the intro?
Was steam successfull to download the mod at all? (after the first game start after the download AoE should have copied the mods archive file to your AoE2\mods folder then).
Adding it to my list.
Mods that are larger in size (like soundtracks) need a little bit more time for this than very small mods like rms.
Therefore canceling the intro too early mostly also cancels the mods extraction/installation.
It can even happen AoE didn't get a mod installed in just one restart (for it stops working on this when the chess video starts). In this case you need a second (and maybe a third restart).
You can avoid this by installing the mod manually.
Go to your AoE\mods folder. There you'll find the mods archive (extensionless zip archive).
Extract it to your AoE folder and it'll work.
