I wonder if theirs a way to add some mechanic that can allow you to help the beggars by saving the kidnap victim. I don't want to waste resource time to time.

There is a way to add a config where I can set a absolute range per pawn for the beggars money asks? Cause I find rather odd that as the game progresses you get some guys asking for more than 1k and in early games they can be as low as 30... I don't think any desperate wanderer beggar should be asking for 1 coin, nor for 3k lol

yes but what im getting at is , if the beggars join as VISITORS they arent counted in hospitality as guests so you cant recruit them thru that, thats why i suggested that.Hospitality doesnt touch "vanilla" visitors.

I wasn't aware either until I stumbled across it on the wiki a few days ago.
I agree 700 is quite low and would quite quickly become pointless, but immersion wise I guess it makes sense beggars wouldn't simple ask for 10s of thousands of silver worth or stuff just because your colony is wealthy.

For a 200,000 wealth colony you'd have to set it to a factor of 0.0035 to equal the vanilla 700 silver value cap, the lowest this mod allows is 10%, which would be ~28.5x more than vanilla

Important info for anyone still using this or thinking about using it, Vanilla beggar were changed to request up to a max of 700 silver worth of stuff, this means that using this mod will pretty much always make the beggars ask for *more* stuff than vanilla, which is pretty much the opposite of what it was supposed to do originally.

Mlie if you could add a setting or something to enable this max request limit for this mod so it can still be used for its other features that would be amazing.

Is it possible to add a chance of relationships with colonists for the spawned beggars? I've never seen beggars with relationships, wonder if that can be modded in.

Would be cool if instead of giving them stuff we would have the option to take them in/directly help free their inslaved friends. (Dependant on what they asks the stuff for.)

Yeah what's weird is that even the ancient dangers don't have the drug, at least not as loot. I didn't check/test with empty caskets though, so maybe that's where it's coming from?

@Vartarhoz I saw a story about a guy who basically lost his colony breaking into an ancient danger to get luciferium that beggars wanted on the "Less Demanding Beggars" discussion thread, so it's not only you apparently.

I'm noticing that as of 1.5 during the early part of the game, beggars will ask me for 1x drug that I don't have in any capacity. Not sure if that's vanilla behavior/bug or if it's because of this mod, but figured I'd report it here.

Hey Mlie.
I know you are busy, but the incident called "chased" causes an error because the game says it already exists. I tried delete it from the .xml and error stopped.
So maybe you wanna update and remove that so it dosn't cause errors for people. Just wanted to let you know :)

I have to agree with several of the comments here.

Beggar events would stay relevant for longer if the amount did NOT scale as a percent of the colony's wealth because that gets ridiculous for large colonies. It should either be a fixed amount or have some sort of limit.

And, as suggested, it would be awesome if refugees (such as from the new "Beggars who are being chased by raiders" event) sometimes ask to join our colony instead of leaving, especially as it fits with other vanilla behavior.
