love this mod so far but any reason the 7,8,9 key binds wont work ?

Just open the console and type " bind c thirdpersonshoulder " " c " can be replaced with any key

Stuart - It's a bug within the game, For the pump shotgun and the chrome shotgun, You can get a fix on the workshop, But this only works in local, But there is one spas shotgun mod, Miku shotgun with a little miku on it that works in 3rd person too on official servers, Just to let you know

but i cant hear the gunshots of the chrome shotty while in 3rd person

Followed the instructions exactly but changed the keybind to P instead and the mod works perfectly with no issues.

gabidvega - Sounds like a conflict with keys ? or something, But for sure valve updates and stealth updates have been causing weird stuff to happen for ages now for various people with different issues, Maybe a full clean reinstall ? move addons folder, uninstall and delete l4d2 left over folder after, Then reinstall and move addons folder back ? Your call, Just what i do to clean the game up time to time, Otherwise i mess with mods till it sorts one issue or another

When I first used the mod, I didn’t have any problems, but now I’m not sure which value caused the issue. Every time I switch to third person, the character keeps aiming upward, making it completely unusable.

been using any other 3rd person in past ? Sometimes game can get bit messy

I love this mod would defintely reccomend just dont be blind and look at the damn commands list first and it will work not hard

9/10 people have no issue using this, Simple instructions, Works flawlessly, I use it all the time, No issues, Issues are simply down to you, If you wish to use someone else's version that's fine, I'am glad for you lol

Just_Addd_Water - Shotguns sounds never worked in 3rd person accept with a script for local only, But there is miku chrome shotgun that works in 3rd person, It's the only one that does, But the chainsaw works sound in 3rd person, I use it myself, Maybe try another chainsaw mod ? I use an rng one, Works fine, Maybe in the console type " snd_rebuildaudiocache " and it will clean your sound cache to how it should be.

Jonno - If you go into the main l4d2 folder, you hold right mouse on the addons folder and drag it onto the desktop for example ! and when your done, You can do the same back to the l4d2 folder where it was at.

so how might i move the addons folder?

Groovy_Carton - Sounds like the game kinda bugged, I've had similer issue when messing with 3rd person views, Like with mods, The game in general etc, I would personally repair the game :

1 - move the addons folder to desktop

2 - uninstall l4d2

3 - delete the l4d2 left over folder

4 - reinstall l4d2

5 - move the addons folder back to where it was

6 - Play the game

Hopefully it solved the issues, Nothing ventured, Nothing gained as they say !

When i enter the console commands the camera angels won't switch

You can bind any key to it, It don't need to be " c " , This is just what i use, Unless you want to change the chat key to something else, I use " t " to chat personally

Thatfrenchspy - A config folder is where config's are stored, Auto executed files are stored, Relevant to operations, Be it programs, Games etc, Even windows uses them, But tbf, I've never known this issue, But with valves updates to this game, Random sh*t seems to happen to people, With ctd with mod consistancies in the red or not, Or texture errors etc, This game needs a roll back update feature, Not valve breaking it, But there are guides on steam helping with work around's.

thatfreshspy - Odd, Once you bind, It should keep it there, Even if you reinstall the game again, You can also make a config folder and copy all this in and and save, Drop in l4d2 main directory at the worst.

I keep having to rebind it every time I start a new campaign

someoneelse -Usually only the binded key would and should do that, Odd for volume change to do that, Possible software related to headet / soundcard / drivers conflicting ? If you change volume on keyboard, You could change volume keys ? Or disable and, I mean you can tab out for a sec if you wanted to change volume anyway, Fullscreen or Borderless, But something is conflicting for sure, Software or otherwise .You could try typing unbind " c " if your using that and type " bind x thirdpersonshoulder " ( x - being the key you can enter for the key of choice to toggle 1st and 3rd person ) , See how it goes, Alternatively disable volume control in game options ( key controls ). Most people have keyboard or headset volume controls, Why i say this.

jaz - There some fixes, But they only work local or dedicated servers, Never had one i tried work on official servers, Still glad if you managed to get one working

nvm found a fix for it, there are multiple mods out there for 3rd person shotgun audio fixes :3
