Not very well. I kinda got distracted by life being stressful (and admittedly, other things catching my attention). I might bust out the bot one of these days again and actually finish it, although the thought of getting back into gdscript is really unappealing...

But if there still is no Singleplayer/Bot mod out there, then I guess it really is about time somebody made one. Might as well be me.

There should be a way to choose a set of moves to randomize from, so I could pick like horizontal slash, vertical slash, or block at random with cowboy.

It should be possible. But I don't plan on extending this mod. Instead, I am focusing on developing another mod that will allow people to implement bots which you can fight against or let them figh each other, but progress is slow, both because of real life events and because the YOMI hustle code base is not easy to work with, so I don't want to get anyones hopes up.

Thanks for the mod. Any way to add random atk/ random move/ random defend. random defend? Trying to think of how we can almost NPC without needing AI

Multihustle support is not planned unfortunately. It would likely be quite a lot of effort due to how this mod/multihustle works. Instead, I am focusing on making a true singleplayer mod, but that will take a little while, since I don't have a lot of time on my hands currently.

You can already do that. If you have the Mod Options mod installed, look for the "Auto Lock In" toggle. See the description for more information.

kinda fun at times but ive had matches where the random inputs were all jumps and grabs, which is hilarious to me considering the vast amount of moves that are available :steamhappy:

This has been resolved, the cause of the issue is MultiHustle making changes to the UI which conflict with the mod

yes, that is more or less the idea I have for a true Singeplayer mode. However, implementing it properly is a lot more difficult than it seems.

seriously, if it were to work by seeing what gives it the most frame advantage, it would actually be pretty tough of a fighter. It would be more likely to parry attacks, and land devastating combos.

once it has the ability to detect frame advantage, give it the ability to flip its actions, and have it adjust the move's settings.. and you have yourself a bot.

with automatic frame advantage based decision making it will automatically parry attacks when necessary and be a formidable foe!

i think there should be a mode where it cycles through all the moves to find the one that gives it the most frame advantage, and then does that one
so it kinda just hops around randomly until the enemy is vulnerable and then just goes full combo mode

really love this mod an would to see it advanced further! Though simple it does help with creating some fun "CPU v CPU" fights.

Im not sure if the mod selects "hold" as an option but it would be interested.

The only issue im having is the lack of the mod option menu, I tried many times but it wont appear in that menu.

Funny you should mention that, because this mod partially started as a basis for messing around with reinforcment and/or evolutionary learning, but I haven't had the time yet to do much in that regard.
The move selection code is pretty simple, I just call the event function which is usually called when a button is clicked. The source code is distributed with mod, so you can check that out. If you want you can also hit me up on Discord.

god i love random bulshit. if i knew how to mess around in godot i'd offer to help on this but unfortunately i'm still for now a cringe little unity dev that hates python. Maybe one day when i get my shit together
about the move property randomization, i bet it would be pretty straightforward to implement it for toggles. It'd be pretty cool to have at least free cancel/flip tho you might want to make these things optional

Giving it some more thought, it may be a good exercise for getting familiar with mod options. I'll look into adding an "Auto Lock In" option to the mod. If it's not too complicated to add, I'll do it. Thanks for the suggestion!
