Not particularly, background video mods are relatively easy to make. The only problem is we don't have the proper tools to encode bink videos (as far as I am aware) so we're stuck with the free bink1, which just loves to inflate the file size of videos. So, for example, this video which started as a ~1gb mp4 file was inflated to a 10gb bink1 file, since that's the only format MCC accepts, and you'll notice this across the entire Steam workshop. I've done some research to try to get the proper tools, but it's quite likely that unless 343 releases proper tools that's never going to happen. To add to that, this one took a whole day to encode, even on my pretty good PC, which I'm pretty sure is because the bink1 tools have no hardware acceleration. Because of that, I decided not to make the rest of the seasons, as in the end they would likely take up a massive chunk of my hard drive and probably take weeks. After all, Season 1 is by far the shortest, and even that took forever.

was this hard to make into a mod? ive got the entire rest of the series and would like to do like youve done.

Under the video tab in MCC settings, you can change the background for all of the menus.

Absolutely despicable. It makes me shiver that anyone would be deplorable enough to think up this kind of depravity. I can't help but look on in silent agony as my skin writhes at the sight of this unsightly abomination. 10/10 would sit in the main menu for an hour again.

Yeah, turns out I need to update the max version every time a new update comes out. Posted a comment on my profile about it. Really annoying since this isn't the type of mod that would break between updates, it's just the game client deciding to ♥♥♥♥ me over

Yeah, it's ridiculous. The mp4 file I converted from was about 900MB, and the final converted file for MCC was almost 10x that size.

Set your menu music volume to 1. You'll be able to hear the RvB stuff just fine without having to worry about background music from the MCC. It overlays.
