i came at the right time to checked and see if this update hit

I searched for a long time and finally found this mod. With these things, I successfully caught many lovely ratkins and locked them in a big cell to fight each other for food. Praise the author!

Updated for 1.5, the speed that knockout gas downs pawns may have changed slightly so let me know if it feels too slow or fast, thanks :)

1.5 update is awaiting on Simple Custom Gas Framework update, which may take a while due to the way 1.5 changes how gases are rendered.

@nachotoast yes. i have a single knockout mortar shell, but it has given me the option to use basically every kind of shell except the one in question.

@Arcanoxx so the item shells are present, its just not showing as an option in the list?

having issues loading the shells into my mortars. no matter what kind of mortar i'm using, it doesn't register the existence of the knockout shells.

more of a balance concern but the gas should take longer to fully knock someone out

Tried resubscribing on multiple new playthroughs, it seems the objects are in game (as I can summon the shells through dev), but even when researching gas operation; the recipe for making knockout shells do not appear in machining table. Possible incompatibility?

@Hairless Cat Should be there if you've researched 'gas operation', if you click on the research it should show them in the list of things it unlocks.

Where are the shells crafted? They don't appear in the machining table for me, and I have all the necessary research

@Archenemis Definitely, I've just updated the Simple Custom Gas Framework to make compatibility with other mods a lot easier

Was just thinking to myself "Why in the world don't they let us make different gasses or knockout gas.. They brought in all kinds of other gases" Lo and behold.. Mods have the answer again

You gonna be looking into SOS2 for some protection from gas? Space suits would probably be strong against it.. and I think Archotech Lungs are meant to be impervious to all gas types. Is fine if you don't intend to, just curious

@Jonesy Fox yeah, my logic is that they're specifically designed to identify toxic gases, so while they may work for tox gas and (a component of) mustard gas, they don't for non-toxic gases like knockout gas and blind smoke

That's a bit of a shame, I suppose. I'm guessing the detoxifier lungs/kidneys don't help against this gas either?

Instead of downing them, could you make it drive their exhaustion rate to some absurd number to force them to actually sleep? I just imagine it would look better.

@Basiliew it needs biotech dlc because it uses the gas system from biotech dlc (and the framework mod makes it usable by modders)

Bet you Mr. Streamer would have loved this when they actually wanted to capture people without killing them.
