Shonuff, the only other mod I know of that allows sitting on chairs is Lifestyle, but that adds a LOT of other things ontop of it since it's not reeally the mods main focus.

I haven't actually played B42 or browsed the workshop for B42 mods outside of uploading updates for either of my mods, so I'm unsure whether there is a mod dedicated to sitting/laying. :(
Shonuff! 11
Sad face...fugi face...:( And there is not other simple mod for B42 that enable the survivors to lay on a bed? Seems so silly! lol. THANK YOU! I really appreciate your help. Seems like something that should already be in the base game to lay down. It is just an animation transition to a pose like sitting.
Shonuff, unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, it doesn't work for B42 unstable.

I'm unsure if they have any plans to update it while B42 is on the unstable branch, or in general. They do have a link on the mod page here that you could look for some answers though. Searching that server for B42 related info could prove helpful.

Hope that helps! :spiffo:

OK! I love to role play in this game and always get annoyed when my survivor just stands by the bed and does not lay herself down! Does this work with the latest B42?
Shonuff, the mod 'True Actions Act 1 & 2' is what allows this, at least that was the mod used when the screenshot was taken.
Shonuff! 11
How to make them lay down in the bed like in the screen shot?
Nwegative 11
yipee!
Hwegative, I'll make a note and look into that once B42 goes stable or I have the free time available.
Nwegative 11
Hi Mod author, I had a suggestion :3... add a option for us to cuddle with any stuffed animals that're in our mainhand to sleep for another sleep bonus or helps reduce panic for those who are claustrophobic and scared of the dark! This would add a functionality to plushies ingame :D
confidence, glad you figured out the issue! :spiffo:

I ran a few tests and found out that the HypothermiaKills mod causes these strange "sleeps". I would never have guessed, but I noticed that this only happens when the character is at least 1 moodle cold. This is mentioned in the mod's description, but I thought it would only happen in extreme cases of hypothermia...
In any case, I'm glad to know that your mod works, and thank you for your response :)
confidence, could you try reproduce the issue and disable only Comfy Sleeping? The mod itself has no way of putting a player to sleep, the only functionality it has that is related to this is forcing the player awake if their comfort is high enough, or if poor/very poor.

If you're on B42, this could be a bug with PZ since its still on the unstable branch.

Hi! I've also found a problem. I didn't notice this behavior before installing the mod.

Let's say my character has a good night's sleep and wakes up to an alarm in the morning. After walking around the room for a while and reaching the clothes on the floor, my character may fall asleep while I'm putting them on. This can last for 5 hours or indefinitely, until I reload the save.
I tried to explain it by saying that there's a scenario where the character "briefly wakes up" in the middle of the night and successfully falls back asleep. I can remember that, but not when you've been up for about half an hour.

Strange things are happening.
zzinga, thank you! :spiffo:

In the 'Sleep' context options tooltip, it'll show you your characters comfort level. The lower that is, the worse their sleep quality will be/the less fatigue and exertion you'll recover from sleeping.

If this is truly an incompatibility, and you find out which one was the cause in the future, please do report that in the future!
Hello, this mod is a very good and immersive idea, however I had to remove it from my list because I discovered it was conflicting with another mod and I couldn't figure out which one. It's simply making my character tired and sleepy forever, regardless of sleep quality or how much I sleep.
rawgu, got it, thanks for the info! :spiffo:
I think your mod still works completely fine just that there are 2 comfort tooltips - one from your mod and one I think from lifestyle. I havent noticed any actual issues - if I am snug as a bug I sleep great even if the other tooltip says poor :)
rawgu, potentially? Not entirely sure what Lifestyle does with its comfort, seems like its almost replacing the part of the tooltip for bed quality?
Hiya, I am guessing this is a soft "incompatibility" with Lifestyle? https://imgur.com/a/rAeCCc2 - I mean the double comfort information
eberkain, at the moment, I'm personally not too keen on implementing an outfit system or way to remove just the uncomfy stuff. I understand how adjusting outfits can become tedious, but implementing a system like that feels like its removing a core part of the mod and reducing it to simply just another button to press.

As for mods that do handle outfits, Easy Outfits and Clothing Preset are two I remember that implement an outfit system to Zomboid. Should do the job, but I have never used them so I cannot say for certain.
love the concept, but the equpping and unequiping of everything every day is very tedious. do you know if there is a mod for setting up outfits, or is some kind of shortcut feature planned?
Vico, ah, I see. That could potentially have issues with the tooltip's wanting to overwrite each other. Once B42 is stable, I'll look into that a bit.

No worries at all! Not a waste of time, I'm here to help get the mod working properly for those who choose to install it :)
Vico 10
@Fluffy89 I think i nailed the issue. This mod was on my list (i forgot when i added it tbh) and it was interfering with Comfy Sleeping (not showing the quality on the tooltip altogether). Now i disabled it and your mod is working correctly.

Sorry for wasting your time.
Vico, you're looking for 'comfort', should be just under the bit you read. What you read was the 'bed quality', this is determined by PZ and isn't influenced by my mod.

When you right click the bed, it'll show up when you hover over 'Sleep'. No clicking is required to see the tooltip beyond a single right click to bring up the context menu.

I can provide a screenshot or two in a few hours to help if that will help?
Vico 10
Aslo even placing the pillow 1 tile north of where i clicked to sleep it didnt show in the tooltip. just "average".
Vico 10
@Fluffy89, it was "average".

I think i got the grip of the mod. I finally made the moodlet dissapear by dropping all clothing and backpacks and made him sleep naked.
Vico, what is the 'comfort' level reported under the 'Sleep' context option's tooltip when you hover over it?

A pillow must be within 1 tile of where the character is standing while sleeping to provide its comfort effect. You will know its close enough when the tooltip says ''Pillow Nearby: Yes'.
Vico 10
I use this mod and simply can't get my character to lose his sleep and exertion moodlets no matter what. Also placing a pillow in a tile of the same bed he tries to sleep doesnt improve anything.
Takiki Kasekari, those features are out of scope for what I want to achieve with Comfy Sleeping. Passing time is already a vanilla feature in singleplayer.

Alarms, whether by watch or alarm clock, work as intended and wake the player up at the specified time. If not, that is a bug with vanilla that should be addressed game-wide and not through a patch by a mod.
Takaki Kasekari 10
if you can add a feature to pass time and sleep at anytime even when you can't sleep just to pass time would be great. If you can also make options to choose to wake up properly cause I have seen the alarms and barely works properly.

Tax, you're welcome! :spiffo:
✪ Tax 10
Wonderful, thank you
Tax, ah, gotcha.

You can make them the same, yes, just uncheck the sandbox option "Force Awake If Snug As A Bug", should be under the "Comfy Sleeping - General" tab in your sandbox options.
✪ Tax 10
But regardless, is it possible to just make the maximum comfort sleeping the exact same as the 'ok' comfort sleeping?
✪ Tax 10
What I meant is that if you sleep at the minimum fatigue required, yours sleep will be approx. 6 hours - tested this many times. Sure, if you go to sleep at maximum fatigue, it will last more - but the deafult minimal sleep time without counting traits is 6 hours
Tax, could you explain the 'very short 6 hour default sleep time' part? I'm not aware of any 'default' sleep times as your character should continue to sleep for hours even after their fatigue stat reaches 0.

To answer the question though, you can disable being forced awake at low levels of fatigue (max comfort effectively prevents oversleeping). The option you're looking for should be 'forceAwakeIfSnug', should be in the 'ComfySleeping - General' tab in your sandbox options.

Hope this helps!
✪ Tax 10
Good day, is it possible to disable any bonuses from the maximum comfort sleeping? I feel like it makes the game easier, and I don't really want to shorten the already very short 6 hour default sleep time

galkinzhenia, Comfy Sleeping seems to work as intended on build 42.12.
Pemarces273, Comfy Sleeping itself doesn't adjust insulation or body temperature directly, that is determined by Zomboid itself.
hypothermia is happening almost everytime, wonder if it came from this mod.

le criminologue, that whole thing of 'little things you do for your character that have no impact' was actually part of the inspiration for the mod! Glad you're enjoying it! :spiffo
i've been cleaning my character and taking clothes off before bed as an irl routine now it has a real purpose in game lmao thanks a lot, one of the best mod with the one that says "snaaaaaake" when you die in mgs
florii, unfortunately not. Hopefully its updated to B42, or at least a successor mod is uploaded.

You're welcome! :spiffo:
