I can't separate the files I modified, or you'd end up with a Pak 44 that has no traverse/move sound, has no third person/first person camera, can't be spawned ingame and can't be used by AI, so you're meant to merge this with other mods manually.
It's more proof of concept/an example for modders than something you'd chuck into a modlist, so it is what it is.
Is it acceptable to bundle this (and give credit) to an all-in-mod I am working on (that integrates several mods together for compatibility and stability)?
Absolutely no promises, but do you know of any neat guns that haven't been ported over from MOWAS2?
The frames are bulky, awkward and block projectiles in somewhat unintended ways, and cause crews to clip through the models in a bad way. It also makes the guns awkward and sometimes difficult to set up properly in some situations, which is not what you want while you're playing the game and trying to get things done quickly.
Realism arguments are fun, but it's not really the biggest concern in a game where a russian conscript can repair a tiger 2 in 5 minutes by himself, crews load invisible shells and 2 ton light trucks can easily tow 17+ ton heavy artillery cannons effortlessly uphill off road.
Got another unrelated mod I'm working on that I might do a variant for Valour down the line
For the wheel thing, it was gonna be meant as a gameplay concession, like how the 88mm flak and other cannons hide wheels/frame when deployed.
Please check deployed stage [avatars.dzeninfra.ru] of Pak 44.
