The firing sounds themselves were pretty much temporary.
(You're going to need to use GCFscape to extract files and create a new VPK, look this up if you don't how to do it)
Go to the "scripts" folder, find this file: "game_sounds.txt"
Within the file find this line:
"BaseCombatCharacter.AmmoPickup"
{
"channel" "CHAN_AUTO"
"volume" "1"
"soundlevel" "SNDLVL_75dB"
"rndwave"
{
// "wave" "items/ammo_pickup1.wav"
}
}
Change it to look like this:
"BaseCombatCharacter.AmmoPickup"
{
"channel" "CHAN_AUTO"
"volume" "1"
"soundlevel" "SNDLVL_75dB"
"rndwave"
{
"wave" "items/ammo_pickup.wav"
}
}
Now save the changes, repackage the folders into a new VPK, put that into the "custom" folder, and done
Merry late Easter
Grab EZBW.vpk and paste it into steamapps\common\EntropyZero2\entropyzero2\custom
