@RainGamma I've had this happen with a few mods, can you make yourself admin and edit the settings in game or is this single player?
for some reason my config keeps resetting
I changed the name and description, tho without being able to run the experimental client i can't add a b42 tag, as the b41 client only lets you tag them up to b41
Bumbullbee 6
Yes it does; I saw your updated file structure when I actually went to update it myself. I haven't seen any bugs yet, but I also haven't kept a super close eye on it or did any specific testing other than starting with obese and very underweight.
@Bumbullbee does this work in 42? i updated the folder structure but not the code, since i can't get experimental to run at all
Bumbullbee 5
Oh my goodness... this was updated?! I was waiting forever for this thing to update, but every time I checked I saw it was still tagged b41. Would you be able to add the b42 tag to this mod to help others find it? There's nothing quite like this elsewhere on the workshop! :papyruswacky:

@Posh i can't get experimental running on my pc, i can't look into this at the moment i'm afraid
@Posh i can take a look at the experimental and see if i can tell what has changed
Posh 2024
update for 42 I am have eaten 5 million stirfrys and im losing weight and it hurts :)
@NOGOD, i'm guessing that it's only been added to the Mods OR Workshop tab instead of both, and based on the fact that it asked your friend to install it, i'm guessing it was added to the Workshop tab but not the Mods tab, hence why you can't edit the sandbox variables. might be easier to look at on Discord, i'm crispychestnuts on there.
I should add when I log on as admin and bring up sandbox options it isn't listed there, but when one of my friends tried to connect to the server it told him this mod was required, so I'm assuming it's loading...
I'm running your mod on a nitrado server and I'm not able to find where to edit the values. I've looked all through the file browser and found the mod folder itself (steamapps-workshop-content-workshopid#-mods-stickyweight and looked through all the files there but didn't see any way to adjust the weights to gravitate towards 80. Anyone have any idea how to do this? Thanks!
@CrispyChestnuts , awesome! Gonna give them both a go then :) Yeah, they should work great together! In theory at least :)
Thanks a lot for taking time to respond!
@U so this mod only affects weight, not calories so i think they don't step on each other's toes. it functions by checking the amount your weight has changed and doing some math to increase or decrease the amount of weight that should have been gained, then changing the player weight to that. assuming that Ideal Weight from More Traits does what it says in the description here, they should play really nicely together
CrispyChestnuts, thanks for improving an already very useful mod!
Quick question: any idea how it could interact with "Ideal Weight" trait from "More Traits" mod?
It works as "Gain 1.5x Calories when your weight under 78 & gain 0.75x Calories when your weight is above 82" plus it has interesting dynamic mechanics.
Could this trait and your mod supplement each other? In a way that if stickiness from your mod set to a minor value so weight always gravitates towards 80, but once you get an Ideal Weight trait and stay in it's weight boundaries both trait's and mod's effects add up? Or will they mess with each other in a bad way?
Sphinx 2024
yeah if you could update it without any inconvenience to yourself to do that it would be very appreciated. to my knowledge no other mod actually changes how fast the game changes the weight number so it would just add more customizability to the game. And yeah I think 0 to 5 is good assuming 5 is literally 5 times the normal rate. I dont think anything above that would be necessary for majority of people.
@Sphinx, i can update it to do that, how does a range of 0.0 to 5.0 sound? also as far as stickiness, the higher that is the faster it moves towards 80 tho it is slower or faster based on the weight change multiplier
Sphinx 2024
Can the weight change multiplier not go above 1? like if I want to make weigh actually change faster? or does the stickiness setting just force weight toward 80 sooner?
@Anonymoussse ya so if weight change multiplier is 0 then weight will not change over time
Just a question if I understand this well : If I put the weight change to 0 and stickyness to also 0, does it make my character never losing/gaining weight ?
Like for exemple if my weight is 70 does it make it so that it will be forever 70 ?
@MrMilkShake24 Yes, it'll take effect as soon as you add it. let me know if you need any help on how to add a mod midway through.
does this work if added midplay through?
Novak 2024
Didnt notice if it goes below 75, but with the update to 50 works perfectly. Thanks you!!
@Novak the max value actually just got updated, but also does it go below 75 with 20 stickyness?
Novak 2024
I have the stickiness up to 20 (max it let me) and looks like I still lose weight (75)
@Novak you do not need it as a prereq. what is the trouble it's giving you? what do you have the settings set to?
Novak 2024
hey, you need the stable weights mod in order to make this one works? It looks like is not working for me
@Ancell, so you mean like make the "healthy" band bigger? like 60-100?
Ancell 2024
You can somehow change the weight standards in the game, for example, up to 100kg, without the obesity trait?
Weepy 2023
I found this through your post on stable weight. It's exactly what im looking for. Thanks JS for the initial mod. and thanks CC for this mod. Make sure to rate the mod everyone so it can move up the list.
shnitz.
Exactly the mod I was looking for! Thanks for your work man, I appreciate it! :spiffo:
thanks for this mod, I find the weight system to be way too aggressive, I don't particularly enjoy micro-managing that part of PZ personally :)
well it means it would go down a lot faster to 85, and faster towards 80
so one more question, lets say im at 90 weight and i set stickyness to 20, that just means your weight would go down faster to 85 right
alright thanks so much for this mod
yea, i guess it would stop weight loss or gain entirely
also going to guess changing weight change multi to 0 would make your weight move at all
alright thanks, might set it to 20
no if you turn the stickiness up it will make the weight stick in the 75-85 range better
so if i make stickyness to 15 it will make getting hunger faster?
nevermind im being stupid
Got a problem with this mod, for some reason
RateChange keeps switching back to default
nice mod going to try.
Viper 2023
Can use this to emulate Basal Metabolic Rate, which is missing entirely in the vanilla calorie/weight system, and is a big reason why managing weight in the game is so tedious. Great mod that deserves more attention.
