Both this and the Spotlight cone removal mods are great for increased realism and better immersion from the game. Working fine for me in DX11 :-)

May crash the game with DX11

Such a torch would require adding a new handheld item. In addition such an item had to emit light when held.

I didnt try much regarding that but i doubt that it is impossible right now. But would love to hear otherwise too :)

Out of interest, how plausible would it be to add a torch tool?
Context: intending to make a dark vs. map where people can't use guns and lights at the same time.

I kinda like this... the only way youd see a light cone is if there were impurities in the air like dust and since you're in space....

I started playing in january, not sure if i really noticed the change then. The headlight was never of any use for me before i started using the dark setting and nothing else.

Well I appreciate the effort none the less. Its been a long, LONG time, since the astronaut helmet light was actually useful. I think they nerfed it all the way back in like 1.009 if memory serves.

I cant come up with a quick way of achieving that. The one method that could be possible are shader modifications (.fx files) but those can not be distributed in workshop mods yet.

Maybe i will find another way to do that, but dont count on it as the astronauts headlight seems to be hardcoded now.

any way you can create a brighter version? As the helmet lights are now, they are nearly useless inside asteroids. They were severely nerfed after the devs introduced the dynamic lighting on the light cones.
