@Minty As far as I know AI never use custom shipsets automatically, as a shipset is tied to the species category. There is a mod however that allows AI to automatically pick custom shipsets.

So first of all, these mods are great and literally reignited my want to play this game after not playing for a year. But, I had a question: When you start a game, can ai select these shipsets as their designs? Ive played a few games and have yet to encounter an ai with any of your designs (I have all of them downloaded) so I was just wondering if its even possible. Thanks for the help!

Ornithon ships look like legally-distinct Romulan ships...not that I'm complaining though since both designs slap. Definitely throwing this on my modlist.

It pains me to know that I can't use any of these with NSC and probably won't be able to for a while since someone else has to make the new models or however that works. They all look pretty cool.

Also on the artwork can the species title be changed to Ornithon? The h is missing in the logo text.

Well word of god here as one of the devs- they are the water tanks and we have a shader for that in LoR. So they can look like the ones in the aquatic shipset in Stellaris as it would be a similar look.

@Cavily: thanks. But I don't think those "bubbles" in the Selach ships are water thanks -- as far as any of us know, those could simply have only an aesthetic function. So just make them look like the ones in the Aquatic shipset.
