I saw everyone curious about exactly what the item changes are and I did some digging, and found an old youtube video that has them listed during the video. Pot of greed-steal it onto an enemy to make them lose 2 gold a turn
flintlock pistol- shoot an enemy unit for 5 damage
new sword- gives plus one might
snakeskin armor - gives one damage reduction (different than defense cause it doesn't wear off)
Tome of experience- gives you bonus 30% experience to everything
