The turret does use Whiplash's TCES script. If the script isn't configuring properly when printed in survival, you could try looking at the workshop page for the script and manually re-making the turret group with the instructions it has.

ive got the turret built and feel like everthing is in order as far as rotor and hinge but i dont know how to control the turret, i can make it shoot once but cant control the rotation or elevation when i try to put the BTSK turret block in a group and just shows a grayed out cube on the tool bar

Unfortunately the turret is a subgrid, and by vanilla won't print from a projector. There's a few mods on the workshop that allow subgrids to be printed from a projector alongside the main grid.

If you're asking about how to make a custom turret, I advise going on youtube and searching for a tutorial video, there's quite a few good ones.
