Modders need to provide the info to run their mod, in this case
Mogadishu_Sunny
Mogadishu_Geo
Mogadishu_AAS
Its sand is more reddish in some areas and orange in others though some pics from the us soldiers show a whiter sand so I guess thats fine to use.
The buildings aren't mostly they are supposed to be concrete. This looks more like an arabian town.
Not to hate, its better than any map I could make, but its not really accurate.
Thanks man.
@Ryanmdoty, As stated in the description, is is 'based' on Mogadishu. I do this in my free time and don't have alot of experience with making models, so i used the buildings that were available in the SDK.
I want fights around the city aswell, thats why i made is 4x4km. Once vehicles are added i will change the spawn/cap locations.
Too many tall buildings, and too much open space around them. Use Google Maps/Earth and you can get a far more accurate understanding of the battlespace. The city has a very distinctive grid pattern, and almost no buildings are 3 stories tall. The streets are relatively narrow, and mostly unpaved, except for Hawlwadag Rd, which is wider and paved.
I would also suggest reducing size to a 1km^2 area or smaller, because the actual space the battle was fought over was about a 400m square, a far cry from 4km.
All in all, looks fine, just not a good recreation of the actual combat area.
