The reason (At least in my case) you guys are flying and floating around when equipping it is because of the "Walk on Moving Props!" Mod.

The model is just the gravity gun for me, idk how or why, and idk if re-installing this addon would fix the problem.

the weld tool has a right click function that allows the first hit entity to warp instantly to whatever you hit next, use that

Well its called that Pootis because the map its from has an entity inside it that talks to the player after repairing the reactor

It's more than likely referencing the map it originates from. Plus there's the mentioning of SCP-005 at the bottom of the description, that may also explain.
