I found a problem, the archon prophecy Paladin unit with this mod on (used industroous culture)
the octagonal shield of Industrious floats above their heads in combat. disablnig the mod fixed it. I used this mod since it came out, so I gave a point award as well.

Hello, thank you very much for creating and sharing this amazing mod Culture Based Tome Units!
While playing, I encountered a possible issue that might be related to this mod, and I’d like to report it:

When using a magic-focused faction, the T4 Battle Mage (flying cavalry version, possibly unlocked via a tome) shows the following problems during battles:

Black lines appear at the start of the attack action, along with noticeable stuttering.
The spear tip sometimes stretches unnaturally toward the center of the screen, which seems like a model rendering issue.



I’m not entirely sure if this issue is caused by your mod, but since it involves unit expansion, it might be related to model or resource references.
If you need more details (such as screenshots or my mod load order), I can provide them.

when play with this mod, I find pyre templar get model missing, but not sure if it's caused by other mods.

Oathsworn update to the Ways of War DLC. Next step is to make all the missing Tome Units from GK to AP to all cultures except Architect. Last step then is to make all units for Architect Culture

Bug @ chaplain. His recruitment avalaible on start, also he have original pre-patch T2 stats and grade(currently he should be T3 unit and removed from T1 faith tome to T2 beacon tome)

Also found a bug related to the Warbreed, its model got small, probably something related to the bone settings.

Just to let you guys now, I'm currently working on making sure the Tome Units appear (even with the wrong culture model). The next step is to finish up the Oathsworn units. After that is to update the new units to all cultures, and then finally work on making all tome units for the Architect Culture

I would do the updates if I have the DLC, but I did not buy it. But again, to update all the units for the new Culture would take a while, something between 10-15 days depending on my work demand.

Regardless of the answer, I thank you for your work. I consider this mod essential to the game, and something that should've been a part of the base functionality.

can attest to some invisible units, no crash until now though. I did note take a note of all them but can confirm mystic afflictor is broken

If you can point it out I would gladly fix them. I've played several matches now, and the only problem I've faced is the Staff from Priest not being properly placed, and the shield of Phantasm Warrior

To give an addendum - several units still work completely fine. I suspect that what's gone bad is that the game probably has some internal "reference table"; either using strings, or numerical ids, to refer to all these different costume parts. When giant kings came out, some of these ids got changed (there are a lot of potential reasons for this, but the only thing that really matters is that it got busted). My guess is that rather than crashing or asserting, the game handles a broken reference like this by just not showing a model.

Yeah, this is an amazing mod; it may have been busted upon the release of Giant Kings, though - I'm noticing several units having invisible model components.

avocado.diaboli@ This mod removes the standard outfit and changes it to a new one for each culture. The mod "Von Schnitzel's Culture Tome Units and Alternate Culture Appearance" removes cultures and replaces them with new ones, like dark1 dark2 dark3, feudal1 feudal2, etc., and makes a new entire modular system for them. Therefore, it has a problem with compatibility, or do it for it from the beginning.

I have a possibly dumb question, but is there any difference between what this mod does and Von Schnitzel's Culture Tome Units and Alternate Culture Appearance?
It seems both mods are doing the same thing (with different visuals of course).
Or am I missing something here?

Incredible this isn't just a mod this should be in the original game. I was looking for separation and uniqueness in units. You just solved that problem. All these AOW4 Modders are like angels.

Do I need all the DLC's I only got two and I don't plan on oath-sworn so sorry.

Also if its not too much too ask will you put photos for EA and PF as well . Otherwise no problem xD

Hey guys just let you know. I'll upload a Hotfix for the every things missing but just wanted to warn you guys that the DLC broke a BIG part of the project related to how to apply the models to the Cultures. i managed to fix almost all but still some clipping issues are happenin (manly related to mountable tome Units). But the main issue is that some visuals from basic culture units like (warlocks, halberdies, etc) are overllaping with the visuals from this mod. This is not that easy to fix, but my priority is to fix the problems happening, and then I'll focus on finishing the Primal Units, doing the missing units from new tomes (Conscriptor and Pyre Templar) to them finally go and do the Oathsworn units. I cannot promise a time frame since this is surely a lot of work, but I'll try do as much as I can before December hits (at least for the older stuff combined with the new tome units)
