I'd urge everyone who is having difficulties with the mod to unsubscribe, and then resubscribe. As I am presently using this mod on 1.13.0.4 with 0 issues. If you are running other mods, there is also a chance that you have a conflict going on somewhere, notably total overhaul mods. Any mod that alters what attributes do wont play well with this mod and will require a compatch.

yeah... just trying to get it to work with 1.13.0.3 and it seems gone. and now we have 1.13.0.4.... i suppose it's best to wait till all patches are issued :D instead of updating the mods every 7 days

I love this mod as it fixes one of the irritations I had with how disconnected stats seemed from lifestyles when every life style had an associated stat. I also like the little touch of having learning give a small boost to every other lifestyle as it replicates the whole theoretical knowledge and practical exp aspect. If you go all in on one life style you can finish all 3 trees in one life time.

One thing I would add to the description is how it exactly modifies the life style exp gains.

small question: could you add compatability for the "more lifestyles" mod by nohacktoday?
I tried doing it myself (adding the modifier_definition_formats with the associated lifestyle names, and adding them to the attribute modifiers), but I can't get it to work :/

Thank you for Supernatural compat! FYI Supernatural needs to be after DynXP. Otherwise, the random artifact is never given, and the Magic lifestyle doesn't show up on the selection screen.

@Rykhath, I was hoping that was something I could throw some compatibility together for in this real quick, but looking at Hearts of Darkness, that mod has wayyyyyy more new lifestyles than I was expecting, and is extensive. Its complicated enough that its going to take me more time to patch for, and likely I will release as a separate mod compatching it. I probably won't have the time to do it for a couple of weeks though.

@kyle413 ah, that makes sense. This mod is compatible with most other mods, but Taberna is one of the very few that it is incompatible with, as they try to do very similar things with similar files. I'm unsure why Taberna being turned off still posed conflicts though. But in general i've seen Paradox games get kind of weird when there's multiple files in a mod list that touch the same files, on or off.

As of right now though, this mod works as intended, and if anyone is having an issue with it, you likely have some sort of mod conflict going on your end.

I have found out why this mod didn't work for me. "Taberna - an Attributes Overhaul" mod conflicts with this mod. And for some dumb reason even if Taberna was turned off, it still somehow blocked Dynamic Lifestyle XP Redux.

Long story short though, if you want to tweak the values differently from how I have them, it will require some amount of extra effort yourself to keep the mod properly up to date. Fortunately this mod is super simple, which makes that an easy task no matter what.

@macluk I just added support for Roman Lifestyle.

Also, i've actually found that locally overwritten workshop files tend to stick around even after a mod updates, preventing them from being overwritten. Which presents an issue where in order to allow the mod to update that particular file (if it needs to), you need to delete this mods workshop folder, then unsubscribe, and resubscribe to this mod.

If you want to create a permanently separate version of the mod in your local files that you can build from yourself and allows this version of the mod to update properly, go to: Run CK3 launcher > All installed mods > upload mod > create mod. This then creates a new mod folder in your CK3 local data folder (the same place your save games are stored). Then copy all of the files from this mod to your new mod folder (except for the descriptor). You should now have your own independent variant of the mod that doesn't interfere with this mods update process at all.

With regards to changing the stats in local files ourselves - isn't it risky in a sense that when you update them (or anything else in your mod without touching the files that someone changes on their computer) and your mod update drops on us, wouldnm't that overwrite our changes?

It's also super easy to fine tune this mod to your own personal preference of balance via your own local files.

Find this mods workshop folder in steamapps > workshop > content. Then in the mods workshop folder go to common > modifiers > dlxp_modifiers. dlxp_modifiers can be opened with notepad or some other form of code editor.

Underneath each [attribute]_modifier category there is a modifier called monthly_[attribute]_lifestyle_xp_gain_mult. Changing that stat changes the percentage of extra xp gained per point of the respective attribute.

Dynamic Lifestyle XP is suuuuuper simple in nature, and can easily be edited oneself, or incorporated into other mods that change the [attribute]_modifier field with less than 5 minutes of effort. I hope that is helpful.

As mentioned in the mod description, I have a "lite" variant of the mod that halves xp gain for those that don't like the intensity of this mod. The description also features a rough comparison of expected xp gain between vanill and both mod variants.

This is just the version that I personally use, as I like to see characters churn through more perks, but I also play with 2-3 additional lifestyles, and 1 additional tree in each lifestyle that are added by a variety of mods. So there's a lot more perks to dig through.

The lite version definitely plays closer to vanilla, but I'm unsure why you'd want this mod in general if you're relatively happy with vanilla xp gain. As the whole point of this mod is that high attribute stats gives boons to xp gain.

you should be. In paradox balancing 10 is competency in the field, 20 is masterwork, so 29 or 30 would be godlike diplo or etc

Good idea, but I think 2% extra XP per point of stat is already enough, and 10% is over the roof. I'm getting 100 learning XP per month as someone with 29 learning.
