This one could really use an update. It glitches in game and sometimes causes crashes.

Hello, I played Tome of the Scourge Captain in today's multiplayer match along with other mods, and racial transformation was giving Curse of Drowning to my own units, and the Skirmisher did not appear in my city tab after I researched him. Can I expect a fix or it is what it is? Thank you.

@WolfTooth there is another mode that adds a water-themed Tier 1 tome. You should be able to find it by looking for "Tome of the Tides".

Have you considered adding a Tier I tome? Not having access to water themed tomes at the beginning is rather painful for a full aquatic build.

Shockshell is not an animal unit, nor is Drowned Leviathan. Dunno if that was intended despite their turtle cousins.

Like some other users, when i use the touch of the drowned spell , female units go bald (sirens , heroes , ruler), but the funny thing is that some hairs work . Tested with elfs ,all mod disabled.

Undersea Garden now counts coastal provinces instead of fisheries.
Spawning Island now counts coastal provinces instead of fisheries.
Curse of drowning now targets enemies like it should.
All spells should be updated to display correctly in lists as debuff/transform/etc. spells with new tagging system.

I don't have a lot of time on my hands nowadays, please let me know of any other bugs.

I have to say, with the water update in the new DLC/patch making water more interesting, this mod not being updated is probably the biggest disappointment out of all the various mods that haven't been updated.
It's very unfortunate how the modding community for this game died very quickly.

Also it should probably be countered by a buff as the only way to remove it is with a cleanse spell/ability.
By cleanse i mean the complete removal of debuffs such as the nymph heal.

The curse of the drown(ed/ing) is being applied on the wrong units upon death.
If an enemy dies with the curse on them the player will get the debuff.
Please check if this can be fixed

I found an issue with combining touch of the drowned with the Phasing Enchantment (from the tome of teleportation), which made all my mages and support units go bald.

Is the major race transformation from this series meant to remove units' hair? My ruler's hair remained (and turned green) but then all my other units were suddenly bald haha.

That's because Kaige, if I recall from actually reading what they do, indeed changes to have -0 physical damage. It sounds like whatever weird 'bug' you're experiencing comes from his mod.

Yeah, not sure. Removing that one accidental change didn't seem to fix anything. So I can confirm this and the divine judgement tome aren't touching anything outside of their own files.

I did find I must have accidentally made a tiny change (that doesn't seem to have actually changed anything) to the white wolf with this mod that I removed. I doubt that was somehow causing this issue, however.

Strange. I can reproduce it with this, but not if I use my combined mod, which *would* make me think my .acp file might be touching something weird, but I'm not touching anything in the evocation tome, double checked. So I'm really not sure what's causing the issue, sorry.

On the tooltip yeah.

The enchant behaves. I'm also seeing this on Tome Of Divine Judgement and the Summoners In Summoning mod.

I actually deployed one of the effected enchants once and it worked correctly on unit tooltips IIRC - didn't do a combat test.

With both you and Kaige active Lightning Focus shows + <lightning> lightning ndamage with no number. Lightning Blades / Lightning Weapons shows that and <physical> physical damage with no number or sign at all. Same behavior on the other elemental enchants that Kaige switchs from -2 phys / +4 element to just applying a stackable DoT.

The ones where he got rid of the -2 phys and reduced the element to +2 have a 0 phys damage component. It's real weird.

It also happens regardless of load order.

@pheonix I went and checked, my mod isn't touching anything in the evocation tome. The only enchantment I'm using is from the shell tome and it doesn't reference it at all. Not sure why it'd be running into a problem. Maybe you can elaborate on what it's doing?

Could you see if you're touching anything you don't need to be touching? This is making the evocation tome unit enchants go weird if Kaige's Overhaul is installed and I can't see why there would be a collision.

I know it's probably implausible to do with a mod.

But I wish I could create coastal sea provinces just anywhere with magic.

Like, even on a map with no ocean, if you could bring your own ocean you could roleplay a crazed pirate wizard or make Experience Seafarers useful on any map.

quite a few mods for tomes say they need updating (tomes of the sea, tome of tyranny, age of giants, tome of illusion) , unkown conflict on tomes of chaos gods mod. could be related to prep for upcoming DLC. it all worked fine yesterday. not sure how many of yours it will affect, death knight and swamp tomes seem to be working still.

I agree: Mind control effects are OP atm, and shouldn't be the balance-point.

I personally think mind control effects are incredibly overpowered and should be restricted to some kind of requirement. The heal is also pretty potent for a non-full action ability.

The Ondine looks amazing, but also really really weak for a T4 unit. There are T3 units that can mind-control at 60% without any prior requirement of being enthralled, and the AoE buff is decent but not amazing IMO

Small update pushed: Switched hero skill to enhancing symbiosis (turns out protective symbiosis is actually basically a signature skill already I didn't know about!)
Updates undine's name to remove the summon part (skill is still called summon undine)

@Lordlynel when I looked over hero skills I must have skipped signature ones. I'll brainstorm something to swap it to, maybe the other turtle symbiosis ability.

Maybe Protective symbiosis should be removed or replaced as a hero skill, since the nearly identical warding bond already available in vanilla as a signature skill, which is a much larger investment?
