I really love this mod, @firespark84, I was playing for a short time, and could see even then how it shaped my behaviour with wars, and I'm almost certain I saw the enemy being more cautious to strike out during winter.
Sadly, though, your mod conflicts with Crusader Wars
CW is just so good in its alpha state, and the beta patch is coming this week, I just can't play without it. I imagine a compatch for CW is a pretty big undertaking, and no worries if you cannot. If you can, and if you need help bug hunting, please drop me a line. Your mod should have been in vanilla, no question!
Thanks again, mate.
Would it be possible at some point with events tied to terrain? Like being ambushed when attacking a defending army waiting in mountains?
Since it is impossible to mod warfare I was thinking more like a Harm event where there is a chance your general might get captured, and if that is the top liege it can end the war.. and maybe they even kill you too...
Or a large group of knights get captured and you have to ransom them or else they die..
Then have appropriate events for other terrains, with different qualities. Plains dont fire ambushes, they might not need events at all, unless you are against steppe nomads.. Dessert gives attritional events or more conflicts in the heat among leaders etc...
Love the mod idea! Just wonder how AI will handle mountains etc. Though I have always thought the effects sre way to kind. Especially mounatains which have saved many cultures from extinction against the odds.
