It took a bit of playing with a custom_meows.json file but can confirm this works perfectly with Push to Meow. Now I can echolocate!

I think I found the issue, it might have been lizard customizer

Just got max karma and now it crashes over and over in filtration. Soft locked. Lizards weren't killing me all the way it kept pushing me in and out of the hole i had to quit on manually.

don't host this campaign in meadow... the dream sequences will break it. also don't spectate anyone who's too far or you will crash.

I really wanted to try this mod but its not letting me craft spears :( any potential reasons for this issue or is this a new bug?

So. While playing this mod, my game crashed upon trying to save in a shelter. I opened the game again and all my save data for all campaigns was gone. Kaput. It nearly gave me a hard attack but then I remembered backups exist, and managed to get all my save data back. If anyone else has this issue, I recommend going into backup save files. Still, this gave me a scare.

with some testing, realistic mode seems to only light up areas with sound, while when its turned off you can see around you better for easier playability. with realistic mode turned on, throwing rocks lets you hear a lot around them, which i find to be a very useful way to sort of have a "budget echolocation"

is there any way that, when choosing settings in the config menu, there can be an explanation for what they do under them? i have no idea what realistic mode is, or what color folllow creature means

For the people wondering why left control doesnt work: you need to turn off realistic mode in the mods remix menu

I love this mod, but it seems that after sleeping in a shelter five times, the game goes into infinite loading when I try to sleep for a sixth.

idk if it is completely unintended or technically cheating but playing this mod with push to meow is really cool. Gives the idea that this scug uses echolocation. most dope.

did someone beat realistic mode? i cant even escape from subterranians cuz i cant see in pipes

dont get it to be possible to get this to work in split screen - it wouldn't make sense

question, when we meet pebbles (or moon) is it fine if they try to help us with being blind? like not fully make us see since thats the whole point of the slugcat but like, have moons overseer poke out of the floor that you are able to walk on and not just jump into the large holes in the floor and die? also i think all the lizards where turned into mole lizards/black lizards

the third dream sequence keeps sending me to filtration system and then the background turns red and really saturated, im not sure if this is a bug or intentional but if it's supposed to do that then i don't know what i'm supposed to do after going there? otherwise im really enjoying this mod, it makes the game much more challenging and different and it feels very visceral in a good way!

I keep missing the fact that a dream has started, as it doesn't have the "sleeping" screen beforehand like with other slugcats, so I keep dying right after the dream starts and completely missing what just happened or what I was supposed to do. I can't just replay the dream either, as my game file gets saved.

To anyone who’s slugcats (NOT Darkness) got bricked, disable Darkness and go back into your save, should be fixed.

Not sure if this is happening after the update but just in case.

After much time changing the controls, it seems that turning off "realistic mode" and turning on "light around slugcat" allows you to use the ability button to increase the field of view.

I think these settings are equivalent to the old game mechanics of this mod

Is it only me or does Ctrl not increase the slugcat's "vision" ? I have tried changing the keybinds and even disabling other mods. but it still does not seem to work.
