I see a post from December of 2023 talking about removing the dependency issue, but it's now October of 2024 and the issue is still happening when using RPG Inventory Revamped. I also see the last update was in July of 2023. Any chance of getting this dependency issue resolved?

@Rohzdear In the future I just make one united mode that will contain all my existing and future retexture and I will not add any dependency. ~1 week and you can play without annoying errors and with slightly better performance

RimPy is giving me the message that this mod requires the original RPG Style Inventory, yet I'm using the Revamped version. I assume it's a false error, but still annoying to see.

@Daevinski what database? In my RimPy folder there is only one db.json and it finds nothing with "jelano" in it even though I am using this mod and it RimPy reports an error.

I am using Visual Studio Code to open it.

Like already stated before, the dependency warning comes from RimPy Database and not this mod. But it is super easy to solve until the database is updated: just open the database folder and look for the db.json file, open it with Notepad++ or similar and search for Jelano retexture - RPG Style Inventory , it will hang for a bit 'cause the file is huge, but then you'll see the "dependencies" section and there you just need to replace the old info with the Revamped info: replace the Mod Name, Workshop URL and ID Number (the most important). Once you update it all the warning is gone for good.

Oh man this is GREAT. Your style is very clean and easy to read! A lot of the bigger mods (such as A Rim of Magic) have this very rough png look to them and I'd love to see how you handle those later down the line. Thanks for this!

To elaborate on that, basically what I'm saying is that the issue should resolve itself the next time the RimPy Mod Manager Database is updated.

It's because the RimPy Mod Manager Database still has RPG Style Inventory listed as a dependency, so even though you removed it from Steam, RimPy still insists on it being there. Nothing that Jelano can do about that.

dependence on any mods is removed. I don't know why rimpy resents it. And if use the non steam version, no errors occur (mod versions are identical)

I'd like to second the request that p20 hammerpoints made to remove RPG Style Inventory as a required item. While it doesn't prevent RimPy users from using this retexture alongside RPG Style Inventory Revamped, it becomes annoying to have to dismiss the error every time we hit the sort button in RimPy.

Would you be able to remove the hardcode dependecy for RPG Style Inventory, I'm getting errors in Rimpy.

@Surgeol Unfortunately, the problem of stretched textures is unlikely to be fixed without additional code. But the texture of the box I will correct and in 2-3 hours the mod will be updated.

Btw I found some visual issue while using with RPG Style Inventory Revamped, you might need those images [imgur.com] for a look

@Avila The game will tell you that you need to use the original mod, but with Revamped everything works fine. I'll probably remove the dependency on the original mod
