@=Executive Callahan= In regards to a cheap walkie-talkie you can get for $10 dollars on Amazon or Walmart, it would probably weigh less than a pound; however, a more advanced walkie-talkie for professional, law enforcement or military use will be a pound or more. Especially in the 1990s.
@general shithead as you heard from SgtGranite's comment, weight in this game refers to how difficult something is to carry. That's why a stack of 100 nails has a higher encumbrance than a box of nails.
