Only thing is that the point where you search the corpse stays at the first spot before you moved it so theres nothing to do about that asfaik. Deleting the corpse in this mode is not possible mostly since I have only been able to delete 1 corpse off a pole with 2 corpses but other than that it doesn't work for me.
The bonedog/carnivore corpse eating method doesn't seem to work for me either sadly.
So the bug reported by Yar shouldn't happen at all.
... That being said, if anyone finds a submod to get corpse torsos off the poles without dogs, I'd like to be tagged.
I wrote a brief little guide on how to overcome that. It's a limitation with the Kenshi engine. No modder can fix it.
But we can as players. If you have an animal on your team that eats corpses (bonedogs in Vanilla, most carnivores in mods, but only ever 1 per squad) so long as they have no jobs (not bodyguard, ect) they'll eat corpses by default, including ones left on the pole.
You might want to set them to do this when you're ready, otherwise the pole won't get its full charge of 'meat' and adding a new body resets it I believe. But my raptors/dogs happily work to clean up my cooking poles and it's a working system.
Sadly what it actually does is consume a single tribal building material and then allows you to create infinite normal building material.

Go select the Rock mine, there's arrows left and right , click it and it will select the different types!!! This is handy with several mods as mods will allow you to make different "TYPES" of a crafting or industry thing or furniture.
If you have a carnivore pet with you, unassigned in task (not bodyguarding anyone) one per squad will eat corpses (nom-nom) and animals are able to eat the ghost corpses left by peelers/spicy sticks and these cooking poles.
So no more reloading/deleting old poles for me :)
It isn't. The mod does what it can do *within the confines of the Kenshi engine* perfectly.
The primary issue that anyone who's ever used the spicy stick or the peeler knows well, is that the Kenshi engine always leaves a shadow corpse behind which you can't move or interact with, without a few workarounds (deleting the peeler/stick, reloading).
It does also have some micro attached to it, with picking up bodies and popping them down, so for anyone looking for a 100 hiver playthrough, this likely won't be for you. The micro is intensive, but for playing a small tribe of cannibals looking to survive as long as they can, surrounded by threats with no help?
Perfect. Really impressed with the work that went into this.
UWE, Cannibals expanded, and kenshi kaizo.
Other than that this mod is a great expansion to cannibalism admittedly though there is nothing "simple" about this mod its pretty expansive lol.
