Only the crowns though since I personally made the assets from scatch, the rest of the assets I amended from the MK1212 team and idk their copyrights.

New update fixes the general commanding armies passive gravitas/influence gains, as well as adds some solid and meaningful effects for the Basileus and the Megas Stratopedarches (Hiers of the Byzantine factions ONLY)

I think what I am suggesting is more a blend. A "Yes plate is good, but we have some things of our own that work better here and there, and this fits our situation better plus we are Romans and our cultural symbolism have always been important"

The Emperor needs to keep his boots(which should be purple actually), keep something golden on torso, maybe plate with ornaments or "lammelar etchings" and the greco-roman pteruges(feathers) on shoulders and skirt. You know, plate with roman(byzantine) characteristics. Atm it looks just generic and as if they just threw away 2000 years of identity

Mmm yes I know but it is because they were falling apart and didnt afford anything anymore really.
But my take is IF the Byzantines have a comeback and grow strong again, like we do in games, the Romans would slowly revert and tidy up the mess. There are sources that show that there was work in the Byzantine Empire to remove the Pronoias, and that they seeked help from the west because of desperation.

If they bounced back I am sure their stronger income would soon be able to fund their own structure again, slowly de-latinize etc.
The plate armor might have been introduced, but then I would assume they would make it fit their ideal look somehow. It would be different, then again they would have to fight Turks, Latins and Arabs so their army would adapt to a very different environment.

Sure I can send you a link to the old T3 for the Romans but, keep in mind that was never the view of the Romans, sure they view outsiders through the lens of Xenophobia, but in the end they adopted many things from their contemporaries. One of the remarkable things about the Romans were their willingness to adapt. They adopted the scutum, gladius, gallic helmet, chainmail, the maniple formation, among other things.

Historical sources do mention the adoption of plate armour by the byzantine (romans), and though at first I had the same line of thought like you did, I did concede eventually that it was a very Roman thing to adopt something if it proved superior.

Is it possible to get aversion where tier 3 still have Roman(Byzantine) armor style and not western Latin plate armor.
It is more likely historically that the Romans would, if they survived, would find their own way to do things, as they saw the Latin west as barbarian and the eastern muslims as saracens and turk infidels.

I am just pointing out the fact that Romans had their unique take on things, not trying to talk down anything.
