I can confirm TcT's comment, this breaks Soul Well entirely. Cannot be built, don't use unless it is updated after this post.

I enjoy this mod. I wondered why they would only grant 3 souls per turn from 1 building... its a soul "WELL" not a drought lol. I first thought it was going to be 10, turns out to be 30.

@Quickdraw6, If it's normal to be swimming in Gold and Mana late game then it's fair to be swimming in Souls. What is not fair however is being soul starved while the AI can send wave after wave of Reapers at you.

30 souls is a lot for something you can build in every city... maybe if this were a once-per-faction structure? IMO this would help a lot with getting souls going earlier on while not as easily enabling you to completely swim in the things in the lategame.

@13racken, Soulwell is unlocked automatically once you have researched Tome of Necromancy.

I have a suggestion - instead of giving a set 30 souls per turn, which can easily become overpowering, maybe offering more souls based on the number of undead units you have on the map - so the more undead units you have on the map the more souls you get from the soul well per turn.
Just an idea :steamhappy:

Is the soul well a wonder or an improvement? I cannot find it in any of the tomes and no where on the map.

Perhaps reduce the number of souls it gives to 5-10 or, if possible, 3 plus half of the population, and add a buff to soul wells. 3 souls per turn is a relatively small amount. Additionally, it makes sense to have one soul well in each or multiple cities to make it more useful.

honestly? i unironically like how starved you are for souls, really makes you seek out the slaughter way more than youd do otherwise

@DelightfullyMAD, The AI on Easy gets 10 Souls per Turn for FREE, while you the player has to research Tome of Necromancy (Tier 2) to get Soulwell then spend time building it. Even with 30 Souls per Turn, you will still be lagging behind the AI.

Love the idea, but feel like 30 souls is a bit excessive. Is it possible for the soul well to instead grant souls based on the city's population? That I think would balance it out nicely and make it worth building but not have it be too extreme
