just want to say thanks to Hokhmah on page two for actually specifying where the custom folder needs to be. in both the instructions here and in the comments, it's just.. "put it in the custom folder" yep, alright, just put it in the custom folder. I had to create it, but didn't know where.

Just adding that the fix with version 1.22 (fixing the missing joystick parameters for the old UI) seemed to make the titles of the joystick parameters disappear in the new UI. That, or it's something else.

@Phantron Currently, the mod only has English language support. I may look into multi-language support for the next major release.

Hello! Good job! I really liked it. Want to warn you that it is not complitable with incoming update (you can test it in the public beta). So, you'll need (most likely) to update it when the incoming update will be released.

Mod worked partially for me. Additional settings appeared but font scaling didn't work. Reason was one small error in the install guide. The custom folder needs to be located under the bms folder (Steam/steamapps/common/Black Mesa/bms/custom).

It would be cool if the loading screens could be changed to how they look in Blue Shift.

Does it fixes or changes something in the HUD about the glow??? My normal hud doesn't have the classic glow of the game and i want to know if this can fix it or do something about it (Like being the reason why it does not work normally, i dont know)

ok so an update on my comment, turns out when they say "extract it" they realy do mean to extract it, dosen't matter what you do, just add it to an archive and extract from there, otherwise, it will not work.

I dont get what the big deal is, just put the vpk into the custom folder, it will take only about half a minute to do

To those bltching about the way mods are currently setup and the one guy throwing a temper tantrum 6 posts below mine (calm down you infant): it's CC's fault maintaining and installing mods is as haphazard as it is, not the modders'. And it's more than likely never going to be fixed after the one shot they gave it with the last update they rolled out roughly 2 years ago. You know, when they said the game was 'finished'.

Nobody likes the current state of affairs this game is in. Mods will break and no one will know why, the majority of old mods (which SHOULD WORK) don't work because CC nudged something, and even if they were updated, you wouldn't be able to tell anyways because subscribing to them doesn't actually do anything. Worse yet, some like BMCE are so stupidly complicated to set up, it's not even worth trying despite the effort the authors put in.

Yes it sucks. No one wakes up in the morning and says 'yay, time to install Black Mesa mods'. But it is what it is.

To people complaining: THIS IS CROWBAR COLLECTIVE'S FAULT. NOT THE MOD DEVS. WE ARE JUST DOING THIS IN ORDER FOR OUR MODS TO WORK.

The purpose of the workshop is for the mod to install itself easily , not me fucking installing every little nook and cranny manually. Learn how to make shit easy to install. If not , go upload it to a mod site.

for those people looking for "2976282754", once you reach the "content" folder, search the number in the find bar and it should pop up

Installation directions aren't accurate, there is no custom folder in BMS, nor is the content string titled correctly (my folder under 362890 was labeled "2976282754")

I couldn't get how to install it. what means extract vpk file? 7zip cant extract anything from it. and I couldn't find any custom folder in black mesa also

@Little Gyro Please make sure that you have installed the mod correctly - there are instructions on how to do so in the mod's description.

@luc Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce the issue that you seem to be having. Maybe you can double-check your other installed mods again to see if there is a potential conflict that causes the crash?
