Nothing in the logic of those decisions was changed. Need more info, though. Where are you playing? What type of game (normal game, landless play, china, mandala...)? Had you implemented harsh taxes?
I need info to try reproducing the behaviour on my end.
The tiger event killing you is definitely not from Dark Ages. That part I can absolutely rule out being a problem with the mod.
mods used is only Viet + more tranditions and community flavor pack
- Added basic support for Japanese language (+)
(+) - Displays the mod text in English
It is not balanced for the new stuff of AUH and is not going to be balanced soon as I am not that keen to play in the new geography. For now I have a significant backlog to deal with.
@Mokujin
I see now that Japanese, a recent addition to the game, is not supported - will add support later today - but Korean and Chinese should be supported and should show the titles properly coloured.
@HaySeuss
No, no such things exist. You can however reach me here through the discussions or comments and you can also reach me in Paradox forums, under the mods subforum in the relevant thread.
thx you
is there any dark ages discord, wiki or place to discuss dark ages other than here? I want to understand some mechanics better but disscusion seems limited,
Thanks for the reply, idk what is the problem then... I tried to resubscribe to a mod and using only your mod in load order and still Japanese, Korean and Chinese titles are all white (except chinese intendant) while others are colored. Maybe that is because of All Under Heaven DLC? Although I dont really know how to disable DLC to check if it is
This is happening because you loaded a 1.17 save on 1.18. If you try to load an older game, the game will simply give all the newly added land to whoever holds the duchy of essex. After a major update like AUH you should really just start a new game.
I addressed that already and can confirm that in my install the new titles are coloured.
- Compatched with latest version of CK3 (version 1.18.0)
PLEASE, IF ANYONE SEES ANYTHING NOT WORKING AS IT SHOULD REPORT IT UNDER THE DISCUSSIONS TAB
Yes. I use both without issues. Load Dark Ages as your last mod on the list.
Part 1: I don't know what could be happening, neither I think it is an issue with Dark Ages. Remember that in Dark Ages your vassal taxes are reduced due to the "Government Bureaucracy" character modifier. With 80+ vassals your penalty should be very steep.
Part2: I don't think this is related to Dark Ages, too. In Dark Ages, level 5 commodities in all aspects should cost you 25 to 35 gold at most.
- Updated all language files (*)
(*) - The language displayed is always English except for Spanish that has now an updated internal translation in Dark Ages. There are submods for Spanish, Polish, German, Chinese and Russian translations. I don't have a clue how update they are
Glad you are enjoying!
@ 十亿卡巴尔的梦
There should be a prize for capturing a vassal of a warring party. It makes all sense. 10% seems ok.
- Event pool for Landless Characters is 100% complete
- Inclusion of all new landless events to spice up landless gameplay
- Coded a game rule to allow the player to control female PC pregnancy risks

It is a Dark Ages.
@Lucasleepwalker
Thanks. Enjoy the mod!
@ Drakken
Right now I am too worried about AUH to think about anything that deep.
Thanks for replying. is parent having these non-congenital traits passing over a dark ages thing or is that in base game?
5% of the children have the Dull trait, as well as the Shrewd trait, the Weak trait, the Strong trait, the Loyal trait or the Disloyal trait. The chance is further modified by the parents having the trait. If both parents have it, the chance is bigger. All things considered, it should be a rare happenning.
You either are experiencing a serious case of bad luck or you are reloading the game for the same child when the random seed is already set and you get the same result.
It is all a matter of taste for you and of design improvement for me. But yes, expect a game rule for you to fiddle with next week.

Just like how vanilla game deals with foreboding events.
As someone who always plays with Dark Ages, to be spared from death because of this special treatment, doesn't feel like "a break", it feels like plain cheating. According to the comment section I'm probably not alone on this thought.
I also need to mention that, the most interesting 100 years of my last playthrough, was when my young empress died from her second childbirth and the empire went into chaos. And trust me I didn't think it was "punishing" at all, just good old fun.
Dark Ages is about immersion, role play, and yes, challenge.
However, what I want to achieve is not an harsh and punishing environment for the player but instead getting rid of the much sugared and childishly forgiving gameplay vanilla presents.
If one wants a challenge for itself, something I personally abhorr and feel it does nothing to further gameplay and the quality of the implementation as a work of art, one can play in apocaliptic mode.
Bottom line: When I consider a 7% chance of the female PC dying at first pregnancy - thus with questionable possibilities to continue playing - and a compounded much higher risk if she has 3, 4 or more kids, I believe the player can be fairly given a break. In the end, the death risk is there, only toned down.
